- Roam129986854062 contributionsWe visited Mastermind and we played the outdoor game Lost Library. It was a perfect experience as we had a lot of fun exploring the city on a chill afternoon of August. For those who love walking and want a boost that will make you keeping up, this is something that I highly recommend.Written August 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yousef AlowayedCambridge, MA44 contributionsAn unbelievably creative and unique escape room experience!
We did the Bookstore as a group of 4. It was shocking how many rooms we had to go through and how unique and well decorated each of the rooms were. The puzzles were creative, the props were well made, and the GM was great at spacing out hints and keeping our pace on track. This was truly one of the best escape room experiences I've ever had!Written September 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Ever since I heard about this room 3 years ago, I couldn't get it out of my head, this sounded like the coolest thing ever! More people I received in Stay in the Dark I heard about it and everyone was very crazy about it. He became number 1 in Terpeca and I had to play him
Now, the moment has finally arrived and I can immediately say: yes, this is fantastic and everything I hoped it would be
Everything inside is themed, for example the way you pay, I love that so much. Super simple but such a story, great!
You literally travel to the town of Lockhill and something is going on there. A cult is raising a god and we must prevent this. You are also expected to do some acting here and I love this so much! And apart from that, you really feel like you're in a village. We were received by our contact person and soon our first mission came to go to the bakery.
I really enjoyed this room nonstop. The decoration, the actors, the story, the atmosphere, everything is fantastic.
The funny thing is that the chapel and the catacombs (and the village too, by the way) matched what I had in mind. The flow was wonderful and we flew around the room. The story unfolded in front of us and we simply enjoyed it. A big piece of Lovecraft, which I enjoy very well, and of course the necessary cinematics.
When it was over I was so amazed at how big it was, and that's how it really feels, it feels so big. A couple of times i just stopped to look around me and take it all in. It was just crazy actually walking in Chapels and Catacombs, i had plenty of moments that i was covered in goosebumps. I was truly in heaven. So immersive and narrative, this feels so good! I can't wait for the next chapter to open to return to this town and see if the sweet baker still recognizes us
So the chatting also happens in character and I thought this was great! If you talk a little cryptically you can have a really nice conversation. She asked us if we were going to visit any other villages and we told her that we still had a Lethal Decision 2 to make, that we had another appointment at 03:15 and that we were going to visit another Ghost Writer and she understood exactly what we meant. and went along with it nicely.
It's rare that a room you've been looking forward to for years and have envisioned in your head actually makes it happen. But this room does! I left the building euphoric and still think about this a lot. Wow, wow, WOW, I still get goosebumps at some moments
Thank you so much Lockhill for letting us visit, I can't wait to return and immerse myself againWritten August 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joanna K1 contributionIt was the most exciting and interesting escape room I ever had!! My kids and I loved it!! It has junior and adults edition! Smart riddles, interactive puzzles and a nice environment! The Mister E team was super kind and helpful. George, a member of the team was great! I totally recommend it because it was an amazing experience!!Written April 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Petros AAthens, Greece100 contributionsThe predecessor of ...In Chains, An Old Friend was the first ever escape room for our team (and the majority of our team members as well), hence when that room was decommissioned and Trapped introduced the updated An Old Friend ...In Chains version we were sure to try it. In fact in the beginning it was supposed to be a limited edition room, but considering we visited in May 2017 and it is now March 2018 with the room still in offer, it seems it was a bit of a hit?
The old version of the room was what one could describe as a "standard" escape the office game. However Trapped had managed to transform that small space (possibly the smallest escape room we have played) and standard concept to a very interesting and fun beginner's escape room. Hence we were quite interested to find out what the "...In Chains" update brought. The main twist, hinted quite obviously (but I wouldn't want to spoil it any further :) ), is what changes the concept of the room straight from the start. The puzzles are, as usual for Trapped, quite interesting and engaging. However that twist also means that not everyone in the team can enjoy all of these puzzles which does diminish the experience for some and it is why I couldn't go for anything higher than 4 out of 5.
Now it'd be good to mention that while having visited the older version would be a plus, I don't think that it is mandatory to be able to enjoy this room. On the other hand though, newer teams, having some escape room experience in any of the other multiple newer entries in Athens might feel that this room is a bit poor (mainly in size)Written March 30, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aliki PAthens, Greece2 contributionsThey have very original rooms. Orphan and It are the scary ones, while Strapped-On is a really really funny room that you should try it with your best friends!Written December 22, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alkis A199 contributionsBoth the Almost Saint Part 1 and the Almost Saint Part 2 are two of the greatest live acting escape rooms you can play in Athens! The decoration is amazing and the atmosphere which is produced by the background music and the whole story is outstanding! Tricky riddles and very smart tasks are some of the things you'll have to engage! The actors' performance is worthmentioning which gives to the rooms a definitive advantage to their overall rating. The staff is willing to help you at any time, but their "kindness" stops by the time you enter one of the rooms! Some of them will be your friends and some will try to block your development regarding the quests.
To sum up, it's really a shame that I cannot tell you more due to the fact that I will ruin it! As a result, you MUST go if you want to see by yourselves! The only thing I can say to you is to trust me on this one and you won't regret it!Written January 8, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The aesthetics for this room are spot on and you certainly believe you are in space.
The room has a good balance of puzzles, which can be difficult, so would advise teams of 3 or 4 to play.Written October 25, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I got recommendations from my friends for Brain fall hotel and they was absolutely right! Long story short- I played in all 3 rooms of this company. Every room great, beautiful, wonderful. Amazing place and super staff. Thank you for great evening in Athens.Written February 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Luci HLondon, UK12 contributionsWord of warning: don't go after having a big meal and be prepared to run! This was great fun, extremely atmospheric and tense, and kept us on our toes. Teamwork is crucial, and actors were really serious about their roles! Brilliant fun, definitely reccomendWritten February 24, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- J. A. GilTorre del Mar, Spain69 contributionsWe were 3 players doing an Escape Room Tour around Athens, and I decided to include this game just because I'm a big fan of Edgar. The 3 players were a couple with about 10 games done already and myself, with +50 games currently.
At the same time, we were a little bit worried of having chosen an old game, but it wasn't a problem at all: it's a Great Classic game with a very elaborated storyline and with very smart hints and clues. It was in fact the game where the 3 of us worked better all over the 10 games we played those 3 days of Tour.
We enjoyed a lot this adventure and I'll recommend the visit to anyone that want to know one of the most classic games in Athens, with more than 4 years old and like our master said: her little baby. =)
The master, Vergina, was incredibly friendly and I think to have found someone really passionate about escapism, her work and of course about Poe.
Don't expect lasers and special effects. This is a classy to be enjoyed with an old spirit and a very interesting plot.
* Almost-spoiler alert:
The game is obviously themed upon Edgar Allan Poe and we felt ourselves as true detectives doing a good reasearch about his death.
The game contains some nice surprises and something that has merit for a game this old: good riddles and variety.
Music and ambient was very correct.
We had a very nice chat with Vergina before and after the game, unfortunetly we couldn't stay more because we had to rush into another escape game afterwards.

Amazing space and mechanics the actors and the game masters are SIMPLY THE BEST.
TOTALLY WORTH IT AND DON'T FORGET TO TIP.🧡Written October 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had the chance to walk around our city and view the different sites with a different purpose and discover otherwise "hidden" details on them. It was very well organized and the "digital aid" really helped us a lot whenever we got stuck.
However the final solution to the riddle was obvious from the beginning, maybe they could work a little more on that.
Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who feels like having a very nice time strolling in Athens and also solving riddles.Written February 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
