- Laura M3 contributionsMy favourite thing about Donkey Dreamland was that the donkeys looked so happy!! Unlike in Mijas were they all looked sad as they were mistreated and that is what Donkey Dreamland is for!! The donkeys are treated well, and it’s amazing to see.
I came to Donkey Dreamland on August 2024 and I had come for the donkey walk with my sister, who is eighteen. There was one other family who also came for the walk, so when they arrived we started walking to one of the many donkey enclosures. Our tour guide was very nice, as were all of the other volunteers we met. They were very passionate about the sanctuary and they would give us facts about donkeys, tell us all the names and about them, like if they are boys or girls, and about their personalities and their names. Then we did the walk and the two volunteers had to help us keep the donkeys from eating the hay scattered all over the floor and the trees. They also gave us free bottles of water, as it was a hot day. After the walk, we were taken to the terrace and they offered us drinks and tapas. The tapas was delicious! There was a gift shop with lots of items that we could have a look at too, and there were friendly dogs walking round that we could stroke. We will definitely be visiting again!! Thank you for this experience!!!!!

Forgot my sun hat but went 2 days later and they had held on to it for me. 5 of us plus we told others at our urbanisation about it & they also booked.
What a difference to last year!! They clearly got my steak order wrong medium rare rather than medium. They took it away and it came back very well done.
I've been coming to Calanova golf for 8 years and the food has always been good with the odd exception. I mentioned that there wasn't many chips & was told very clearly ITS STEAK & CHIPS NOT CHIPS WITH STEAK. This I thought very rude he bought out more chips but duly charged me!! This however wasn't the final straw at 10pm he bought everyone there bills and basically said that's it,closing now.
There was a considerable amount off people still in the place enjoying them selves.
Last year the manager Joe kept us feed & watered very well until late in the evening.
This year no Joe ( away on holiday) and they couldn't wait to get us out as quickly as possible.
The people I told about the event were like me bitterly disappointed.
I know your a golf club, but don't put evening events on if you don't want to stay open.
It was a very expensive evening spoiled.

My two children aged 9 and 12 had an hours lesson and learnt more in the hour than they’ve learned in months in the UK. The staff were lovely, they had Alicia and Georgia who were calm, caring and experienced and offered some great tips for future riding. The horses and other animals are well looked after and there is a lovely vibe there. We have already booked a return visit. Well elevated in the hills of la calla overlooking the Mediterranean Sea is a perfect spot to put you in the zone for smashing balls into the sky. The place is so well equipped all with the latest trackers . Every bay has a great aspect and screen to let you know how your doing. With the flags we’ll placed to give everyone a good target it work well. With the slope your balls fly away into the distance giving you the feel you are hitting a ball further than ever. The golf Bays are so good and the equipment is amazing, pool table too and loads of TVs for sport.
