The combinations of architectural style are the following starting from Romanesque architecture, Gothic architecture, Baroque architecture, Moorish architecture, and even the Manueline - the Portuguese Gothic style.
You get to see close up the two magnificent circa 1780 organs, the painted ceiling and the choir stalls (this is part of the guided tour).

We actually didn’t need to really use this loft as we parked our cars on the top of the hill, Close by to the church, but it’s nice adventure for the kids and therefore we just took the return ride and they loved it.

Arch of the New Gate is a very pretty arch on the main street in Braga, it was highly decorated with colourful glass inserts, pictures to follow.
The arch is both neoclassical and baroque in design - very heavily ornamented.

It connects two landmarks of the city: "Arco da Porta Nova" one of the ancient points of entry in the city and the "Praça da República" named the city center, with it's fountain and famous coffee shops.
The streets from the old city are so engrossed in history you really must take the time to stroll through and enjoy the atmosphere.

You dont have to be religious to like or appreciate how much history is contained within church.
The facade is remarkable and the interiors are also very very beautiful.

Inner courtyards had displays of remnants of gravestones and historic carvings, there was an inner glass covered central flower garden which was very pretty and let in light.
It is a medieval architecture yet the altarpiece is no doubt a baroque.

Outside the city center, just before the Arco Da Porta Nova (city's doors), you'll find a nice spot to relax in-between the crowds :)
