What travelers are saying
- Bader76Hawalli, Kuwait305 contributionsTable game starts at 8:00 pm which is very late compared to any other casino I have seen! On Saturday I arrived at 7:45 pm so one of staff confirmed that table game starts at 8:00 pm, so I came back at 8:30 pm but no game started! When I asked they told me on Saturday particularly table game starts at 9:00 pm! This was really bad as some staff are not familiar with timing!
Chips can be bought from cashier only!
Some of the dealers are really rude!Written November 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's a proper workshop where you can actually witness the pieces being thrown, fired, painted and glazed on the premises. The proprietors, with infectious bonhomie, welcome you to browse through a vast array of ceramic crafts on display. While there is no pressure to buy, one can hardly resist acquiring a handmade item, be it a mug, serving dish, wall accessory, pendant or even a pair of earrings. Prices are reasonable too for what are essentially original, bespoke pieces. Highly recommended.Written November 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- OZS_ATWBudapest, Hungary4,034 contributionsWe visited the Piscina Porto da Cruz in January 2023. The ocean was not calm and it was closed due to weather conditions.
Anyway, it was really awesome.Written May 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Visited today and ripped off over 2 glasses of wine. Menu says 2,40 but charged 3 , apparently because it was white not red 🥹 horrible attitude by staff , will not visit again if these staff remainWritten November 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - marc jSan Diego, CA14 contributionsLots of fun if you like this sort of thing. Not the usual to do in Madeira.
Go during weekday morning and you may have the place to yourself.Written September 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AgataSR15 contributionsMy opinion of **Go Kart Madeira - Funchal** is unfortunately not positive. It all started when my children entered the track. My daughter, despite not being informed about the difference in vehicle quality, was given a slower kart just because she mentioned she had driven a while ago, which was, to put it mildly, unfair. The staff at the track was not only unpleasant but at times even aggressive.
When my daughter happened to hit the barriers, the staff member's reaction was absolutely unacceptable—rather than showing understanding and offering help, he got angry with her, raising his voice, which is entirely inappropriate, especially when dealing with children. The whole situation was very stressful, and instead of being fun, it turned into an unpleasant experience.
To top it off, when my son happily noticed that he had achieved the best time of the month and year, the staff member, instead of congratulating him, accused him of cheating, which was completely out of line. Such behavior not only discourages but also leaves a very negative memory of the visit to the track.
In conclusion, the service at **Go Kart Madeira - Funchal** leaves much to be desired, and the whole situation was inappropriate and stressful for my children. I definitely do not recommend this place for families with children.Written August 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Prices are pretty high for a small, rural business, but it's the only place in the area. Strange how the big city (Funchal) does not have one.
Also, Camacha is a long way from Funchal and bus service is very limited.Written February 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A relevant local topic (15th century Portuguese explorers - don’t worry, no spoilers in that), and a convenient central location. A relatively uncomplicated environment and puzzle - good for beginners (though there is an advanced version).
We all really enjoyed it, including one first timer who is now a convert to “escape games”.
The host was brilliant. Good intro, one small nudge half way through, and an informative debrief.
Great fun had by all.Written December 27, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is situated between the Teleferico Funchal (Cable Car) and Monumento aos 500 anos da Diocese do Funchal. With the Atlantic Ocean in front and the hills of Funchal behind, could not ask for a better setting.
It is definitely not an Olympic standard Park, a bit basic, but it has a number of ramps and runs.Written August 14, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We booked 2 karts for a 15-minute session and had the circuit to ourselves.
The karts themselves were really old. The steering was out of alignment and the brakes didn't work. Half way through my session my engine exploded and the spark plug fired into the adjacent field having sheared its thread. They replaced my kart but I was a little nervous after that.
All in all though, a good experience and worth stopping by.Written December 11, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
