What travelers are saying
- Lavie26 contributionsTram 28 offers a short ride through the narrow lanes of the neighborhood, passing by charming shops and restaurants before reaching the heart of the city, where you can explore or enjoy a meal. Tickets, priced at around €2.20, can be purchased onboard. It's best to board at the starting point. Although the wait time was long, the experience provides a delightful glimpse of the neighborhood.Written February 4, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bucko007Sudbury, Canada1,110 contributionsGreat way to get from one end of port to the other. A little pricey but it's a fun view. Did it once but no need to do it again. Just ok.Written December 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 1957Ottawa, Canada988 contributionsWe took this funicular ride up did not see much on the way up because it was so full, and we waited a long time to get in but once we were at the top it was well worth it , the views were splendid, we could see Lisboa , the castle and the beautiful sunset. Also lots of shops and places to a drink and music !Written October 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas VOakland, CA19,076 contributionsThis little streetcar takes you uphill from Rossio to Chiado, a short ride. You can also ride downhill. It's a very good way to avoid trudging up the steep hill, and a fun ride.Written December 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 19BriotLondon, UK87 contributionsWe took one look at the queue for tram 28 at Martim Moniz and decided against it, however right by the stop there is the biggest outside escalator we’d ever seen, so, being nosey we went up it to have a look.
When we got to the top we went left through the streets, walked 5 mins to Socorro tram stop (it’s on the corner of the junction by some bins and a shop - there’s no sign, the man in the shop said to stick your hand out) . Tram 12 took us past the cathedral, the Santa Luzia viewpoint, through the streets and down to Praça de Comércio where once again it was Bock-O’clock! I would recommend this if you just want to experience travelling on a tram but don’t want the squishy-squashy tram 28!
