What travelers are saying
- Thomas VOakland, CA12,678 contributionsGreat views from this lookout and an excellent place to take a break from your walks around. Take a lot of photos here.Written April 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Thomas VOakland, CA12,678 contributionsThe views here are terrific of the city below and of the castle. It is a good place to stop and rest and to take a bunch of photos.Written May 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Thomas VOakland, CA12,678 contributionsViews of rooftops here, not the best view in Lisboa, but still very good and worth a stop for photos and to get your bearing. It's a city of hills and views.Written April 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- WorldTravellerSoonCanada300 contributionsIf you plan to visit Parque das Nacoes, come to visit Vasco de Gamma Mall too.
The mall can be accessed by metro red line, bus or train. We came here on Thursday 3 weeks ago and it was very busy.
There are over 150 stores and a food court. The supermarket Continente is on the ground level.Written April 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Isabela ABlumenau, SC101 contributionsI visited amoreiras 360 deck on a 2 night stay in Lisbon trip! The view is amazing, really easy access and a fair price €$5,00. I would have stayed longer if it had a dry bar with wine! Nonetheless, the sunset was mesmerizing and I would definitely do it again!Written May 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- chimayredDurham, NH2,224 contributionsas the TA site says...
Funicular railway that leads to the São Pedro de Alcântara Miradouro overlook and the chiado district above Lisbon.
There are many ways to get up here - steps, elevators in buidlings, Santa Justa elevador...but one night we had a dinner near the top of the funicular so we took this as a kick. I think it was about 3.80 E each. You can pay the driver in cash. You can walk right up next to it, but it is pretty steep. It's a very easy to find site, right off the main drag Avenue Liberdade, not far from Rossio train station; it's an ancient trolley covered with graffiti. You know, it was worth it!Written April 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Cameron2 contributionsJust reviewing to let people know this is accessible again as earlier reviews suggest it was closed due to covid. It wasn't very busy when I went, and provides a great view of the city and some interesting graffiti. Be mindful it is an empty old tower a good distance from any amenities by foot or cycle so water and snacks are a good idea for anyone not driving.Written October 7, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- StephenCrossDublin, Ireland16,894 contributionsThe arch is really incredible and the centre piece and entered To the square below. It’s magnificent. Great street to walk up behind it and a real buzz.Written August 31, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Baaaaaa2 contributionsConstruction finished. Nice marble feature steps to sit on. Bring your own sundowners, or there are 3 bars to choose from. Mixed crowd.Written January 17, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SteviefullKidderminster, UK1,328 contributionsWe took a taxi to this area as we intended to visit the oceanarium so thought we'd take a look at the tower and the Vasco De Gama bridge.
It reminded me of a smaller version of the Burj Al Harab in Dubai. A nice place to walk along the river and get a few photos.
Not worth a visit just for this building, but the view of the bridge and visiting somewhere else in the area makes it worth a few hours out of your day.Written May 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - IAN DWigan, UK18,886 contributionsThis must be the best view point to take pictures of the bridge. I reached by climbing streets with large inclines. Worth it at the top.Written July 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Vera C14 contributionsThe most beautiful view of Lisboa... Hip decor and yummi drinks. Most relaxing afternoon... Authentic...Written June 13, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- trooper92St. Gallen551 contributionsThis viewpoint is better - and much less crowded - than Santa Lucia. Somewhat hidden in a children’s play zone (you have to go around the building) and therefore only accessible during daytime. They even have some tables and benches in the shade. Look for Miradouro do Recolhimento in Google maps - it will lead you to the entrance.Written May 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- belgianguy1Bruges, Belgium11,146 contributionsThis place is easy to reach as it's connected with the street below with some stairs, it's a nice viewpoint, overlooking the harbour and the river... there's also a cute little park here, with lots of shadow and benches, perfect place for a little picnic while enjoying the view!Written March 30, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- belgianguy1Bruges, Belgium11,146 contributionsOne of the lesser visited viewpoints in Lisbon (there are just too many I guess) but nevertheless worth the hike up, good views over the rooftops, especially on a sunny day, with a couple of benches to relaxWritten February 26, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
