This class was phenomenal! The chef (Pedro) provided the perfect amount of instruction and was always available to help. The participants, as usual, were fun, friendly, easy-going people looking to mingle and chat with ease with fellow travelers. The food was incredible! Such a variety and all so delicious! The dinner table, food selection, wine, and company was all first-rate! I highly recommend this class if you are looking for a fun evening in Lisbon!

Our family of 5 (adult children) had a wonderful time cooking together along with another family and couple. We enjoyed having a traditional experience as a great change of pace from our other sightseeing. Our instructor was clear for novices; tasks were not simple but easy for everyone to choose something they were comfortable doing. (Including the younger children in the other family). The place was spotless and then most of all - food was delicious.

The instructor was very friendly and informative. We were given lots of refreshments and left feeling confident that we would be able to make pastel de nata at home.

We had the absolute best time at our Portuguese Cooking Class with Bea and Leonor. We came in with little cooking experience and no idea what we were in for but this experience was the highlight of our trip. We all had so much fun, learned a lot, and laughed throughout. I think we ended up staying an hour later than our time slot because we were all having such a great time. Would highly recommend to anyone!!!

Had a great pasteis de nata baking class with Miguel. Communication was clear from the time of booking until the end. His studio has great ambiance and Miguel was amiable throughout the class. Our egg tarts turned out great!

We had a great time doing this cooking class! We were 4 couples visiting Portugal for the first time, and we did this on the 2nd day of our trip, which turned out to be a great intro into Portuguese cuisine for us. The instructors gave us lots of info on Bacalhau (salted cod) and its importance to the national cuisine. We also got to taste and learn about the different spicy peppers that the Portuguese favor. This helped inform our choices in restaurants for the rest of the trip, since we had a better idea of what we were ordering and what we liked. We made a total of 3 dishes- the Peri Peri Chicken was my favorite. One member of our party didn't like the fact that we had to prep the shrimp by removing their heads and deveining them, but she just had a glass of wine while the rest of us finished up.
They were generous with the wine at lunch, which we thoroughly enjoyed eating with the 4 other class participants before we had to leave so they could get ready for the next class. Several members of our group said that this was their favorite thing we did while on this week-long trip. It's definitely one we'd all recommend.

I attended the Masterclass along with my wife and 14 year-old son. A bit risky bringing a teenager along? Not at all! He loved it!
The team at Nat'elier gave us a step-by-step guide to making Portugal's most famous tart and it was very much "hands-on" which is just what we wanted.
The group was 16 people which was larger than the maximum advertised (14) but still manageable. We were in groups of four and we each person made three tarts which were baked and then eaten! The amazing thing is they looked and tasted just like Pastel de Nata!!
Nat'elier does not just stick to the traditional tart but is enhancing it with additional toppings like tiramisu, creme brule and apple and cinnamon. The purists might shudder but that is before they have tried them. Delicious!
The Masterclass takes about 90 minutes and it was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon in Lisbon. Thoroughly recommended!

Our hostess Paula met my wife and I at the ferry at Cacilhas at 10 AM and took us on a walking tour along the river with great views of Lisbon. She then lead us through a very informative tour of a local market to pick up the ingredients necessary for our cooking lesson. We arrived at her charming home at 11.

Paula engaged us in interesting conversation about her personal history and about life in Lisbon whilst patiently instructing us in the preparation of the food we would be dining on. Following Paula’s lead, we prepared Sikkema Clam Curry, Arroz de Pato (Duck Rice) and Pasteis de Nata.

Some time after 2 we sat and enjoyed our meal together. The food was the best we experienced during our stay in the Lisbon area. Paula was very generous with her time and walked us back through town to the ferry at 3:30 where we said our goodbyes.

Paula is an excellent hostess and a very clear and patient teacher. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience and highly recommend her services to anyone wishing to immerse themselves in a uniquely Portuguese experience!
