We organized cooking as a team event for 15 people. We are a fully remote team, spending a week in Lisbon. It was the first time many of us had actually met, despite the fact that some of us have worked together for over a year.
The cooking class divided us into 3 groups each on one cooking island. The ingredients were fresh, the knives were sharp, the recipes were delicious, but also simple enough for some of our less cooking-experienced participants. The food was excellent, and the amounts were generous. The cooking teachers gave just enough help to ensure that we got to a result everyone was happy with. Add on top of that a glass of wine, and everyone was overjoyed to spend time with each other.
One of our team members is Portuguese, and one of the recipes chosen was coincidentally her favorite, and also something that can't be ordered at restaurants.
This was the best team building event we did all week.
