As seen on the film, "In Bruges," but even more lovely in person, it is a great place to take a walk, especially with the person you love!Written December 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- City Tours BelgiumBruges, Belgium477 contributionsArentshof is an open space which offers a magnificent view both on Bonifaciusbridge, the Church of Our Lady and the Gruuthuse Palace. In the middle of the square there are two old columns of the former Water hall. Alongside the green hedges and trees there are some benches which offer the opportunity for a break after a long walk. But Arentshof offers more. The statues in the middle are nice. The modern statues represent the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. These riders symbolize revolution, hunger, war and death. Taking a closer look, one sees that their horses also feel the intense pain. They're howling!
The contrast with the fairytale like canal and the charming bridge is striking!
