- Brittany_11_10Los Angeles, CA1,769 contributionsBeautiful and serene. Great photo ops on the bridge, or just a lovely place to stroll around and look at. Definitely less crowded in the morning (in the summer, on a weekday).Written August 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brittany_11_10Los Angeles, CA1,769 contributionsQuite enjoyed strolling on the path under/between the trees, checking out the windmills, enjoying the fresh air. Mostly easy to push a stroller on as well, only a few parts rough and/or bumpy from cobblestones.Written August 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brittany_11_10Los Angeles, CA1,769 contributionsLovely little park with a bit of room to stroll, and a nice playground--with the beautiful backdrop of the Church of Saint Magdalene.
Only minor complaint is there was no women's toilet. There were outdoor urinals for men, but that's it. Not having free public toilets is a standard problem Europe-wide, but at least sometimes there are paid toilets. Not here, at least not that we could find (walking around the whole park, and we did find the men's urinals so...shouldn't a women's facility be somewhere nearby?).Written August 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The place was buzzing with young children. Our youngest and ourselves enjoyed the spectacle while the two-year old discovered the playing area adapted to his age. The two elder children had a great time on the trampolines and the slides. For dinner we ordered chocolate and pancakes for the children and snacks with a local beer for us. Summarised: a great family time.Written February 19, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LeonhknyHong Kong, China21,062 contributionsThis is a small garden slightly away from Bruges' tourist area. That said, it is still a popular place with many going for the iconic lover bridge. Great to take a respite from the crowd.Written June 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- TheUrbanAdventurerCanterbury, UK30 contributionsfabulous place to visit - miles of open spaces along the coast, great to walk in proper sand dunes -Written July 20, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Frans M55 contributionsThis was a nice and well-sign-posted track although you need to pay attention or you might miss a sign. The map I got said it was 47 km, the signs said 51, and it is my guess the latter was more on-spot.
Lots of quiet roads. A bit after Hondschoote there is a nice bench where we pick-nicked. There are several decent sculptures in the courtyard.Written May 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Historically, this was a monastery garden that changed hands a few times before being owned by local professor Joseph Sebrechts, for whom the park is now named in the early 20th-century. It later fell into the hands of the city of Bruges who added a playground and wave-shaped benches Otherwise, they maintained much of the layout and characteristics of the park from how it has been since the late 19th-century.
On the whole, it is a nice public park but quite isolated from other popular sightseeing. For those who with limited time in Bruges, you'll have more convenient parks and green space to visit at Minnewater and southern section of The Vesten. Best to concentrate your efforts there if in the city for a short visit only. Otherwise, for the lucky visitors staying for a week, this is an interesting place to venture out to see while browsing the many lovely streets around the city centre.Written November 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Some are worthy of spending quite some time to quietly enjoy the show.
Open mid December to early JanuaryWritten December 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - BradHong Kong, China174,702 contributionsThis is a residential park situated just west of Vesten canal and a couple hundred metres southwest of Ezelpoort. For all intent and purpose it is good park with child-friendly features including winding pavements for bicycles as well as a wooden playground with fun, somewhat whimsical design. There are plenty of tall and mature trees to create shade for a rest on one of the park benches as well.
Graaf Visartpark is named after Amedee Visart de Bocarmé who served as city mayor for 50 years between 1876 and 1924. Unfortunately it is fairly isolated away from most sightseeing in Bruges so not likely a place many tourists will find themselves unless you are walking/biking Vesten on the west side of the historic city centre.Written October 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
