The museum is small, just 7 rooms, but the quality is very high. It is a nice complement to the Rijksmuseum. For me the highlight is The Last Judgment by Hieronymus Bosch. You can stare at it for an hour and still discover interesting scenes. The two Jan van Eyck paintings are worth appreciating as well.
30 minutes to an hour are all that’s needed.

I wasn't too sure what to expect with this museum but it sounded interesting and I was surprised by the amount of information and items in the fairly small museum. Its fascinating and also a little bit terrifying seeing all the different torture implements. The information panels were good for historical info as well as anecdotes about certain uses of the items. Certainly an eye opener and maybe not for the very squeamish as some of the displays don't hold back

A very pleasant hour or so looking at medieval religious paintings & artefacts. The history of the hospital is amazing. Roof space is empty but worth it to see the 13th century roof timbers. Not too expensive to get in either.

We found this by chance whilst walking around the city. Friendly passionate staff with excellent interesting exhibits. We both commented it was the cleanest museum we had ever visited. Very interesting and informative way of passing a couple of hours. Highlights are the on site pub/coffee shop and the cat which roams around the museum like he owns it.

There's so many stunning items of religious art packed into this unassuming building. The church itself is also heavily decorated and absolutely gorgeous. Definitely recommend strolling along the canal to get to this church, it's really worth it!

Gezelle is a Flemish poet but there were translations of his poetry, which was lovely. There is also a garden there, which was very peaceful. When we went it was on a Sunday and there were some volunteers restoring the garden. They were lovely and so friendly and took time to explain what they were doing and telling us about the plants and their plans for the garden.

Wonderful experience! I discovered the Bible in a totaly different way. There are many touchscreens, lots of things for kids. It has a contemporary approach.
