This is a room full of Dali’s original prints. Dali himself made the prints and most are signed by him. It was worth seeing but the Audio tour for an extra £3 was worth it to tell the story. We enjoyed it and there was plenty to see. A lot of his work is quite erotic and graphic. I’m not a great fan of his work but I did enjoy learning about his story.

There is a Farmer's Market that is setup at Grote Markt on Wednesdays (8am to 1.30pm) that we have enjoyed several times over the years. Note that when there are events at Markt such as the annual Christmas Markt, the weekly food market moves over to nearby Burg Square instead.

Here you find stalls selling meats, cheeses, fresh veg, fruits as well as prepared roasted chickens and other cooked food items. There are some snack and dessert stalls as well as some florists selling lovely flowers and arrangements.

The market is always photogenic and worth making some light food purchases to enjoy on a nearby canal or square. If you have a holiday apartment with a kitchen, you can pick up food items at the Farmer's Markt to prepare for dining in as well, something fun for those who enjoy cooking.

This is an art gallery along Zonnekemeers near Walplein. The showroom is open from 11am to 6pm (Thurs - Mon) and closed (Tues & Wed). Here you can see interesting sculptures by sculptor Marc Claerhout and a room with creative and fine jewellery by daughter Kathleen Claerhout.

The sculptures are a range of whimsical and fantastic characters that resemble characters from a Hieronymus Bosch or early Peter Bruegel the Elder painting. They are worth a look-see if you are fans of these Old Masters and in the area around Walplein. Even the kids might get a kick out of the peculiar and creative nature of the sculptures.

Bought a couple of prints and enjoyed paintings of Bruges made by talented artist. In the middle of the wonderful city, found an open air market where the paintings were sold by the real artist. His technique was amazing, also the colours he used is just fabulous. I am happy we found him, as prints of his paintings will be a reminder of our fantastic trip to Europe!

What an unbelievably perfect studio on the edge of town. Top spot for fantastically hand made and creative gifts. The calligraphy is wonderful and the application is breathtaking. You’ll end up buying most things for yourself!

The tea shop in this small antique shop next to the Groeninge museum makes everything on the premises, the best scones I've eaten outside UK!! Lovely surroundings and very relaxing, the owner is also the chef, well worth looking out for although check times of opening as they are closed on a couple of days each week.

The Bottle Shop is centrally located along Wollestraat just off Grote Markt. It is a neatly organised shop that claims to sell over 600 different Belgian beers along with steins and glassware.

Opening hours are 11am to 7pm daily, the shelf displays are impressive, prices a bit higher than what I found at similar bottle shops further away from Markt. Otherwise, it is a fun place to come inside and look around even if you don't plan on make purchases.
