In addition to the usual tour related information, Nick had wonderful recommendations for great local restaurants, bars, beers and chocolate shoppes.
The beer and brewery tour is definitely a requirement for anyone who loves beer and learning about the history of the city that you are in.

BeerWalk

Our BeerWalk hosted by Ariel was an amazing blend of Ghent history, beer making and of course beer tasting in some of the most amazing and hidden venues in town.
Fantastic walking tour of Ghent led by the excellent Tom who knew heaps about the history of both the city and beer-making in Europe.

I really did learn a lot from the tour from the subtle differences in a Delirium to a Karmeleit to all the history and variations in Belgium beer.
The Belgium Beer Days tour in Ghent was a lot of fun and also very informative.

Excellent tour - Alex knew his history of Ghent, also of Belgium and how the country came to be formed within Continental Europe.
She mixed history with culture and food and provided a dynamic and passionate presentation at the church when introducing the panels of the Mystic Lamb.

We spent a wonderful couple of hours on a beer tour/tasting with a few plates of food 15€ per person with the full tour and 3 tastings Excellent all round and would recommend going if you get the chance.
Tucked away on a side street just outside of the city center, this was the first brewery we stumbled upon in Belgium, and were very glad we did!
Champagnekelder

THE place in Gent to try out a variety of champagnes, perfectly proportioned foie gras and other bites served by very friendly people, all at a very reasonable price.
Fabulous service, bubbles, and food on their 3rd Anniversary.

We left with recipes, some things from her garden (nettles to make nettle soup on our own), pleasantly full bellies, and an education about cooking, birds, gardening in Belgium, and Belgian people.
It was food made with love and, as a result, completely nourishing.

Plenty of great craft ales and some superb food to be had too: we had the brisket and flank steak which were lovely but the sides stole the show !
Wonderful tour, Some very special beers, and a very nice Belgian BBQ dinner.

He welcomed us with a beer (best way to start a tour) and with a short movie about the history of the brewery, afterwards We walked through the automated factory with Jose explaining every detailed of the process...
Jan the guide was excellent and the tasting session was great - unlike the big brewery tours which limit the number of samples the tasters kept flowing until we left.
