An amazingly curated bookstore to start and on top of it , it matches classics and modern books with different types of wine and spirits to go with the different books.
Amazing concept with a very friendly and knowledgeable owner who is passionate about both the books and the booze in his shop.

I asked a local friend where the BEST chocolate can be found while visiting Ghent and he HIGHLY recommended Hilde Devolder as the best Belgium has to offer.
This shop is a bit off the beaten path but the chocolates we tried were well worth finding it!

Yuzu makes delicious chocolate drawing on a minimalist but beautifully pictorial Japanese style.

Have visited christmas markets in Berlin, Prague, Budapest and even in Belgium - Bruges and Ostende, but I have to admit that Ghent has the best Christmas market among them, at least comparing to Berlin's Gendarme...
Loved the Christmas market that certainly offered a wide variety of food, handcrafts and drinks.
