What travelers are saying
- geelongexpatMelbourne, Australia1,244 contributionsIt takes a little effort to get to the top, but it's worth it. The view of the city is great. It's also a good excuse to exercise while on holidays. Make sure you bring a water bottle.Written August 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- WorldTravelOneAmsterdam, The Netherlands9,211 contributionsThis station is colorful and very modern. The guide told us that the people that live in the city think it is out of place, more fitting for a warmer climate. Dress accordingly I guess.Written April 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MinkusMeKingston-upon-hull, United Kingdom189 contributionsGreat place for a drink with locals and visitors alike. We had a couple of drinks in the outside courtyard and really liked the range of drinks on offer and the atmosphere of the place. The menu looked excellent for food and was clearly popular - all tables were booked on the evening we stopped for a drink. We were made to feel really welcome. Thank you.Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- geelongexpatMelbourne, Australia1,244 contributionsPretty church with a nice square nearby. It's a bit hard to get a good view of the church though. It seemed like a good meeting place.Written August 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- WorldTravelOneAmsterdam, The Netherlands9,211 contributionsThe citadel gives you the best view possible of the city of Liege/Luik. Take the Montagne de Bueren to get there. It is so worth the effort. You will bot be disappointed.Written April 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MinkusMeKingston-upon-hull, United Kingdom189 contributionsGreat museum - lots of learn and situated in a collection of historical buidings in one of the oldest parts of town. The brasserie/cafe is great for food and drink, too. Definitely recommend the boulets!Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jozef OBrussels, Belgium191 contributionsI had relatively low expectations, based on the reviews I had read. Still the permanent collection had some very nice and interesting paintings. obviously not the most famous pieces but still quite worthwhile.Written December 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - elizabeth p10 contributionsGreat little museum.
We were in Liege from the UK for a dance competition and came here on one of our down days. The kids had a great time, the only downside was that as the area isn't big with tourism the museum displays were all in French. I learnt some when in school but haven't used any in the 21 years since leaving so it was a little difficult but I remembered enough french words to get a vague idea of what things were.
The aquarium side to it could have been a bit bigger but it was still good.Written April 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. On sunny days people walk shoulder to shoulder.
You 'll find food, cloths, live animals, jewelry and electronic stalls.
Don't go there if you dislike crowds.Written September 17, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We visited the temporary exposition of Warholl. Well done. Friedly staff.Written February 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gerson van LuijkRotterdam, The Netherlands427 contributionsAlthough it is not the main church of Luik, this one is at least as pretty, but probably prettier than the St paul. Especially the roof is amazing. A very good place to enjoy piece and quietness.Written November 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DavidDundonaldEdinburgh, UK894 contributionsA lovely little opera house that seats just 1,000 but feels a lot bigger.
We were very lucky to see the world's greatest living Soprano, Ermonela Jaho and had the best seats in the house all for 50 Euros.
The acoustics ae good, the staff are friendly, my only gripe is the appalling bar upstairs. Crap lighting. Crap drink selection. Crap art on the walls. No music and no atmosphere. Someone needs to sort this space out and learn how to make a theatre bar make money.
It did not spoil a superb night however.Written March 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
