Extensive collection, well laid out displays. Would have liked a better guide to exhibit as there was very little once inside. NOTE - cannot reach without using stairs!

Fantastic museum, paintings and location. Magritte is amazing! It was my second time and it has changed a bit, but is still amazing! Also the shop had really good merchandise!

Unfortunately very crowded and a lot of children were very noisy and there were no employees in the rooms to make sure the noise level was kept down and that people did not take photos, which was not allowed. Definately room for improvement for the museum. So hopefully next time, that will be sorted.

This stunning home and garden is well worth the visit. There is a charming video about its history and owners--you won't want to miss this. The tour is via a handout that describes items room by room. Many paintings to see, along with furnishings and objets d'art--and while we only took a quick look at the garden because it was raining, it would be lovely to explore on a nice day. Be sure to reserve a time; you'll be given shoe covers prior to starting the tour.

I have to admit, before visiting the museum I didn't know anything about Constantin Meunier. The museum attendant, a very kind person, welcomed me and told me that I am the first visitor that day. By the end of the visit, it turned out that I was also the only one. Maybe because of this, the museum attendant had time and we were able to chat for a while. He gave me useful information about the place I visited and recommended me another art museum in the city.
At the age of 14, Constantin Meunier began his studies in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. He was a student of the Academy for three years and then continued his studies in private. At the beginning, his successes as a sculptor were modest. His encounter with the French painter Gustave Courbet would change its orientation, taking up painting and remaining consecrated to it for the next 30 years. From the pieces on display in the museum, my opinion is that he was, however, a good sculptor rather than a painter. He portrayed in his works, both in painting and sculpture, but especially in the latter, the hard working person, woman or man, worker in agriculture, industry, or mining.
I was pleasantly surprised by the museum and I was glad that being alone, I could freely admire the exhibited works.

Beautiful collection of interesting pieces over three floors. They also have a roof terrace (though the view isn't that great) and a café.
If you like contemporary art or street art, you'll love this place.

Musee Fin-De-Siecle (End of the Century Museum) is one of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium located at Place Royal in the Upper Town of Brussels. The museum is presently open from 10am to 5pm (weekdays) and 11am to 6pm (weekends) but is closed on Mondays. Entrance fee is €10 which includes entrance to the Old Masters Museum. You can also purchase a €15 ticket combo that includes the Magritte Museum as well.

The museum focus is that of the end of the 19th century when Brussels had taken centre stage in Europe as a centre of the arts. Impressionism and Art Nouveau movements were in full swing and the museum does a very nice job lining its mostly underground floors with impressive sculptures, paintings, decorative arts, furniture in an informative and presentable way. It is a good collection and introduction to this exciting time in art history for the city of Brussels. Well worth 60-90 minutes to leisurely make your way through the Musee Fin-De-Siecle (End of the Century Museum) floors depending on your level of interest.

This remarkable house is worth a visit. It can be reached by taking the metro to Merode. From there it is only a short stroll. Meanwhile it is possible to visit the exceptional buildings of the Cinquantenaire. The Cauchie house is just round the corner of the amazing Triumphal Arch. The only disadvantage is that is is only open the first weekend of each month. But if you happen to be in Brussels, you surely shouldn't miss it.

The Plastic Design Collection in itself is worth a visit, but the BELGISCH DESIGN BELGE is just not fair to the rich tradition of Belgian design. Generally, the interior design of the museum (or rather the lack of it) is a disgrace given that this is a museum of design in one of the richest cities in Europe.

The Old Masters Mueum is one of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium located at Place Royal in the Upper Town of Brussels. This museum is a trove of 15th to 18th-century Netherlandish artworks where you can view masterpieces by Rogier van der Weyden, Memling, Gerard David, Hieronymus Bosch and an entire room dedicated by Pieter Bruegel the Elder in what is the second largest collection of this Flemish Old Master in the world only behind the Kunsthistorisches in Vienna. You will also see works by Rubens, Anthony van Dyck, Jordaens, Tiepolo and others spread out over several floors, providing a couple hours of excellent artwork viewing.

The temporary exhibits seemed nice although i did not pay the extra 3€ to enter. Otherwise all the other pieces were aesthetically presented and had good visuals to them, the only disappointing part of the museum was that a lot of the pieces were taken down for “scientific examination” or “on loan” although this was unfortunate it was still a very impressive museum and i spent 4 hours there

A less visited hall in the heart of the high end art in Brussels - Le Mont des Arts, but one always surprising with original, very well curated exhibition. This year ING Art Centre presents a collection of modern art , eclectic but very good quality. Interesting but comprehensive, diverse in means and supports of expression, touching, appealing. Sculpture, audio visual structures, paintings and photography are are positioned in a very unitary, modern way. A pure bliss. Highly recommended.

De Hallepoort ( Porte De Hal ) is the only medieval city gate remaining in the city of Brussels and was part of the second defensive wall of Brussels, constructed between 1381-1383 with major restoration work being carried out in the 19th century ,this gives the gateway it's a gothic look,it's now home to a museum ,I viewed the gateway as I was walking through Parc De La Porte De Hal,on a beautiful afternoon the gateway looked amazing ,it's most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the Saint Gilles District and easy to locate along Zuidlaan ( Boulevard De Waterloo )
