    Odd layout but really fun sections
    There are some really cool features like the glass floor with a train track under it. Going through the train cabins are really cool, too. Took me some time to figure out the flow of the place.

    Amazing Collection
    Allocate at least 3 hours to see the extensive collection. Even if you are not a motor head, this place is Amazing! The variety is tremendous and well displayed.

    Grand museum
    The building itself could be considered art, let alone all what's inside. This place is great, and one can lose himself for hours here. Recommended

    Review of: Belgian Chocolate Village
    Short and sweet visit
    This was a rather interesting museum. Not a whole lot to see, but a good way to spend an hour. The staff are lovely and friendly. The chocolatier was just amazing. He answered all our questions and gave us quite a few free tasters. The shop is cute with a good choice of chocolate options from around the world. However, the cafe was pretty lackluster. I would recommend it, and the chocolates were truly delicious!

    Review of: Musee Maison de Maurice Carem
    The Béguinage next door
    Go to St. Guidon tram/metro stop in Anderlecht. After visiting the Maison d'Erasme (Erasmus House), cross the street to the Maurice Carem complex. Be sure to visit the two houses of the Béguinage, where from medieval times to the 19th century, single, orphaned, or widowed women led a communal life protected from the ravages of a hostile society. Beautifully-preserved in a quiet urban garden.

    Review of: Atomium
    Unique architecture
    The Atomium is a bit of a journey to get to from downtown Brussels, but we had metro passes so rode out there just to admire the structure from outside. We arrived right around sunset, so the various balls/atoms were lit up, and the pictures were neat and the perspective was fun to see. We probably spent less time at the building than we did on the metro ride to and from, but we were happy that we'd gotten to see this famous building in person.

    Review of: Museum of the Police Force
    For kids - absolutely must
    First you need make an appointmment by telephone or website. If done, you can enjoy - great exhibits. My kids (7 and 9 yo) was impressed. Younger said: I would like to work as a policeman :-)

    Review of: Horta Museum (Musee Horta)
    Unique, aesthetical, tasteful, elegant, serene.
    Unique place, elegant and tasteful. A premium example of the beauty showcased in Art Nouveau. An aesthetical experience. Warmly recommended. About 1 hour in total to visit it.

    Review of: MOOF Comic's Museum
    Still cool
    MOOF Comics Museum is such a cool little museum that if you've an interest in famous comic book heroes such as TinTin,Asterix and Smurfs is well worth seeking out,it's only a small museum to visit ,great fun ,I love the statue of the smurf sat on a mushroom outside the museum,it's worth a quick visit if you're in the area and easy to locate along Rue Du Marche Aux Herbes.

    Review of: Musée Schaerbeekois de la Biere
    fun museum managed by locals with a beer thrown in the entrance price
    open only on wednesday and saturday afternoons as it is run by a local association. Small museum with atypical items which you will enjoy finding what they were used for. Not for kids, they will be bored. ANd you can have a beer at the bar and discuss with the team.

    Review of: Museum of Spontaneous Art
    Interesting, sometimes moving
    Off the beaten path, got to know of their existence through the museum pass. Not your ordinary collection, from the naive to the absolutely weird and everything in between. Some forms of expression contain a lot of pain. A small facility for children. Worth a detour.

    Review of: Van Buuren Museum
    Amazing Art Deco home and gorgeous gardens!
    This was a highlight of our trip to Brussels. While the city is known for it’s amazing Art Nouveau architecture and design, this Art Deco house is incredible. Even on a rainy day, the gardens were lovely as well. Definitely worth a visit, and we will be back on future trips!
