Not really to visit but interesting to see close up for both the scale and the integration into the landscape. Helps if you have a guide or some background information on the construction. While in the area don't forget to see the buildings left from the 1935 world fair that are nearby.

We spent three hours here. My husband is a musician and was enthralled. I’m not but was still totally into it. The displays are well organized and the audio of different instruments playing was interesting. I would have liked more information on the instruments (some had it but not most) and perhaps the audio being just that instrument because some were in ensembles.

Autoworld, is in a cavernous, historic building that houses an impressive, permanent collection of over 300 vintage classics, racing, luxury, concept and prototype automobiles, spanning over a century of automotive history. Many of them were new to me, being exclusively European marketed only.

You don't have to be a diehard car lover to enjoy Autoworld and view its great vehicles on display. Many are rare and many new names will be unfamiliar, but the beauty, glamor and styles of all will impress anybody.

Overall, AutoWorld offers a comprehensive and captivating journey through automotive history, showcasing a diverse collection of vehicles that will appeal to car enthusiasts and possibly even those who just like to ride in cars.

Consider how much time you intend to spend and how deep you want to go before purchasing a ticket. You can buy a ticket for more than one museum but only if you either want to spend all day or just do a cursory walk through. We started with the Old Masters with audio guide and easily spent two hours without finishing. You should really rent the audio guide or come with a guide if you want to fully understand what is in each of the key paintings.

On a wet day in Brussels we came across train world.

The staff on site were very knowledgable and welcoming.

The entrance is right by the train station.

There are so many exhibits to see and you have the option to use a digital guide, which is very informative.

Towards the end of the museum, there is even a train simulator, where you can drive a train!

Really worth the visit and I would highly recommend.

Nice museum of Victor Horta's home and studio. You need to book a ticket online. They admit 15 people every 15 minutes so the museum does not get too crowded. Visitors are required to place their belongings, including cell phones in a locker. There was no charge for the locker. I did have some trouble with the locker but the staff assisted me. You walk thru the museum and visit as though you were visiting someone's home but without touching things. It is a self guided tour. The house is on one side and the workshop on another but they connect inside. There are steps and those unable to do stairs would only see one floor. There are staff members through out the museum if you have questions. I had seen it mentioned somewhere but the museum did not any lists of Art Noveau buildings in the area. I did not see until later there is a "walks" option on the website.

We loved it so much. Im a figurine collector myself (not comic ones though), so I could really appreciate the figures showing there. A lot of it was TinTin though, that comic isnt very familiar to me.

We came as a family with 2 children under 10 who don't speak French.

I'd say it's probably a very interesting museum if you speak French or you're older and deep into comics, but it's not worth your time if your kids like a bit of Tintin or Asterix and Obelix etc and think there might be something for them here.

They did enjoy the library on the ground floor for 15 minutes, which was also peaceful

(I have left 4 stars so as not to impact the overall rating as that would be unfair)

Fascinated by the garden and Art-Deco interior. It was a really good experience for me discovering sculptures in the garden and entering the maze modelled on the mythological Daedalus.

Similarly, each room inside the house has been beautifully decorated with warm colours and fine art; it was a pleasure to discover more about the significance of David and Alice van Buuren in Uccle, Brussels.

At only 9.5 euros it's not expensive for an experience that last approximately 90 minutes. Goes through the history of chocolate with an audio handset ending with a short demonstration. Staff all brilliant, helpful and polite

We happened upon a free exhibition on the ground floor of the BELvue Museum and were glad we did. It brings together forty Art Nouveau objects from the collection of the Belgian King Baudouin Foundation by famous artists such as Victor Horta, Henry Van de Velde, and Philippe Wolfers. We loved the striking and intricate pendants designed by jeweller Philippe Wolfers. The exhibition lasts until 7 January 2024, and is particularly well documented. There is an audio guide in English, French, and Dutch and a free paper catalogue in French and Dutch. The website of the Foundation provides a free tour and extensive descriptions of the exhibits.

This is an outstanding transport museum.

    Every tram is beautifully restored.

The volunteers are friendly. A special thank you to Bernard!

Easy to reach via trams 39 and 44.
