It’s super educational about the issue of the cacao situation and industry in general but it’s also great to make some chocolates together with a true chocolate maker. There are so many fake activities around Belgian chocolate, this one is run by a real chocolate maker. - Konstantin P3 contributionsOur family arrived in Brussels late in the afternoon and had to leave early the next morning, so I searched for chocolate workshops that were open after 6 PM. Fortunately, the Belgian Truffle Workshop was the only one I found that started later in the evening, as all others were already closed by that time.
We arrived a bit early and were kindly allowed to wait inside while the team prepared the kitchen. Our instructor, Dima, was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us an engaging presentation about the history of chocolate truffles. He provided clear, detailed instructions and guided us through every step of the process. We left with a lot of truffles! Kids were super happy and excited about the process and the results.

Also I highly recommend to go to the workshop because we got to make lots of different styled chocolate using the pre-made chocolate. The environment was family focused but provided a safe place for everyone to learn something new and engage with each other on a different level. The waffles were wonderful as well!!

She went through how to properly taste a beer, how beer is made, and the different types of beer. Even if beer is not your thing, this is definitely a must-do in Brussels along with the pub crawl. Then we went to her apartment where we enjoyed a wonderful evening filled with conversation, laughter, wine, champagne, and of course, food. Ine was a gracious host, and we stayed much longer than we had intended.
