If you ever go to Brussels you must go to Planet Chocolat!
Everything tastes amazing and the owner is the loveliest person you'll ever meet. He offered so many different chocolates to try and it was all mouth watering. He's really passionate about the ingredients he uses and how he combines the flavours, it was so interesting to hear!
I suggest you ask him about his own creations, they were my favourite along with the orange ganache and honey praline!

Elisabeth is an independent chocolatier with 5-6 shops in the city centre of Brussels. You'll encounter their branches while browsing the streets around Grand Place. You can also find Elisabeth branches in Bruges, Antwerp and Paris as well.

We have been happy with purchases from Elisabeth over the years. During our most recent visit to Brussels, we bought some delicious Zwevezeelse Florentine, crunchy biscuits covered with soft white chocolate. Dark chocolate orangettes were also very good. Candied orange strips had a bit of tart and tasted great with the dark chocolate. Have also enjoyed packages of nougat during past.

Overall, have enjoyed our visits and chocolate purchases from Elisabeth chocolatier shops in Brussels in the past. Will almost certainly pass by again during future trips to the city.

At Laurent Gerbaud Chocolatier I was fortunate to have a couple of hours learning about chocolate and learning to design and make my own chocolates. Laurent Gerbaud has strong principles on buying beans in a ethnically sustainable way.

Maison Dandoy is a Speculoos cookie specialist with a history that dates back to 1829. They have a handful of branches around Brussels including this place along Rue au Beurre near Grand Palace. Opening hours are 10am to 7pm daily.

We stopped by during a recent visit to Brussels and picked up a bag of speculoos biscuits to enjoy in our hotel room. Enjoyed the plain, covered with dark chocolate and the pain d'amandes as well. These were all good to have with a cup of coffee back in our home.

Have enjoyed Dandoy purchases during the past couple trips through Brussels. Will very likely stop here again during future visits to the city to enjoy their speculoos biscuits.

Popped in for a quick visit in the store at Av. Louis Gribaumont 20 in order to surprise my wife with, to date, still the best chocolates in the world! A must visit when you're in Brussels.

Of all the chocolate shop chains in Brussels La Belgique Gourmande must be the best, the only one whose interiors resemble a set from 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory'. I visited the shop in Rue de la Colline, just off the Grand Place, during the evening after dinner (the shop is open until 11pm). There were piles and piles of chocolate in baskets, chocolate sheets on counters, beautiful chocolate tin boxes shaped like houses, and an eye-watering selection of gourmet chocolates that you could buy individually by mixing and matching according to fancy. I had half-dozen dark and white chocolates filled with coffee, champagne, almond, coconut and other delights. And I can vouch for the fact that the quality of chocolate sold in Belgium is far higher than in many other countries. For one, they tasted richer and homemade.
The staff were very friendly, asking if I needed anything as soon as I started browsing, but not pushy, and the prices were fair considering the food quality. I would definitively recommend the place to experience real Belgian chocolate if you are either in Brussels--where there are five shops--or Bruges--where there are three.

Paradise on earth for eternal chocolate lovers! Necessary stop when you're in Brussels! During my 4day stay, i visited the shop every single day.
The best staff ever, always there to explain, propose and help you in the friendliest and kindest way! How smiling people! All the products of the best quality! Don't miss the chance to taste as many kinds as you can or else you'll regret it! Extra tip: carry as much of these chocolates as you can back in your country!
Greetings from Greece to the guy with the glasses who remembered to greet us every day, even from the street!
Thanks a lot & I'm looking forward to visiting you again!
(Meanwhile I'm going to order your products from the internet because i cant live without your chocolates anymore!!!!)

We can’t believe bookshop Tropismes isn’t on all the lists of the world's most beautiful bookshops. Its location, a bit hidden in the mid-nineteenth century covered passage ‘Galerie des Princes’, is absolutely marvellous. The interior is in keeping with the surroundings. Lots of mirrors, gilded columns and ceilings and sculpted birds. The upstairs floor, where the children’s books are, offers nice perspectives. The books are mainly in French, but that shouldn’t be a reason not to have a look at this exquisite bookshop. Staff are excellent and offer good advice. We never leave empty-handed.

I have been a big Tintin fan all my life and this was something I was really looking forward to. The shop itself is really nice, very nostalgic and some great collections. However, one of the shop assistants was very rude. She clearly didn't seem to enjoy her work. When I asked her a question, her attitude was really rude, spoiled my Tintin experience. Anyway, the guy at the cash desk was nice and friendly.
