- Natalie WCodsall, UK470 contributionsVery busy area with lots of shops and places to eat. It is on the more expensive side but a lovely street to walk down. Enjoyed a Belgium waffle!Written March 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Patrick SBangkok90 contributionsI am the one who usually go to fea market when I visit places in different countries. Brussels, Belgium is the one city that I had been visit. Marche Aux Puces de Bruxelles is a fea market that I visit on July 2019. I spend there 1.30 hrs. It is my enjoyment time. I found some interest things but when I asked for prices, the seller gave me the higher price that I approximate in my mind. So I just enjoyed my window shopping and move to another fea market that I met it by my accidental in Brugges.Written July 23, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ManicroseBourne, UK1,114 contributionsWe visited the Bozar to see Morrissey. Our first time at the venue and it was a lot bigger than expected. It has other spaces besides the theatre where the concert is held. It’s a very impressive venue, only let down by the security being a bit too heavy handed with fans at the end of the gig.Written March 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheCount69Rochdale, UK874 contributionsSunday morning market right outside the Gate du Midi station.
It was extremely busy as well as many stalls selling just about anything you want.
Was great just to mooch around it seeing what's available to buy.

Covid-19 may also have played a role as many people tend to avoid crowded places these days. When it was created in 1968 the shopping mall was the first of its kind in Belgium. Since then, it has been enlarged and refurbished several times and, today, it doesn’t look different from any other mall and you’ll find all the usual suspects. But we did find an unfiltered olive oil we had been looking for everywhere at an Italian Specialty Shop (‘Spécialités italiennes’). There are several pleasant places to have a bite or a drink; the loos were clean. Maybe due to the glass roof of the central hall - a nice feature in itself – it was a bit too hot inside on a warm summer day.
Tram 8 (stop Woluwe Shopping) left us opposite the mall. Metro station Roodebeek on line 1 is accessible from inside the mall.
Reading the reviews, we were amazed Flemish (Belgian) reviewers have been allowed to rant against and even insult French speaking shop assistants and to compare this mall to others, so much better, in Flanders (and even in Germany!). Isn’t that supposed to be against TA rules?Written August 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a sad, but nowadays inevitable discrepancy between the elegant architecture designed by Henri Rieck in the early 1880s and the quality of the shops and food places lining the arcade. A few traditional stores, like Davidoff cigars and Coutellerie du Roi, soldier on but even our favourite oyster bar seems to have disappeared. Eventually the whole centre of Brussels well be swamped with food outlets selling fried chicken, pizza, pasta, kebab, chocolate and ghastly, so-called Belgian waffles.Written March 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Екатерина Капрарь6 contributionsThis place is a must-go if you like to enjoy a good cup o tea, interesting conversations with the owners (who speak French, English, Polish and many other languages :)) and if you are into contemporary art. Every Saturday Happy Day opens its doors for anyone (for free!) to meet a new artist: painter, photographer, sculptor... You can enjoy an exhibition, while sipping delicious tea. Every artist is different, so you can get to know what's popular these days among amateur, as well as professional, artists in the heart of Europe. This place is hidden in the small cozy street which makes it even more authentic and special :)Written February 29, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karolien BLeuven, Belgium159 contributionsI went in here to have a simple lunch with my mother. There is a limited choice of food but the choice available is simple and cheap.
I had a sandwich with chicken and curry which was tasty, my mother had the sandwich with ham.
It's a nice place a little separated from the store, a lot like marks and spencers in London.Written May 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I, however, cam by tram and faced no difficulties into coming or leaving. It's huge with a whole bunch of amazing shops. Seriously, you can literally find anything you need there! There's so much variety of shops and food places and it's so clean.Written October 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Myrini P3 contributionsIf you ever go to Brussels you must go to Planet Chocolat!
Everything tastes amazing and the owner is the loveliest person you'll ever meet. He offered so many different chocolates to try and it was all mouth watering. He's really passionate about the ingredients he uses and how he combines the flavours, it was so interesting to hear!
I suggest you ask him about his own creations, they were my favourite along with the orange ganache and honey praline!Written January 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Friends in Brussels took us here on our last day - a Saturday - as we whizzed around the city with them after lunch. - Claire C19 contributionsA little bit of everything and the shop keepers are very welcoming and helpful. I loved walking around whilst it was quiet, plenty of parking. Great places to eat, hard to choose where to though. - Marissa B3 contributionsI did quite a bit of research before arriving in Brussels regarding which chocolatier to visit and Mary's was at the top of my list. It most certainly did not disappoint. The store itself is just beautiful, as are many of the chocolate shops in Brussels, but what made the experience particularly lovely was the shopkeeper working that day, Consuelo.
She was such a delight, gave excellent recommendations, and was fun to interact with while we were in the shop. I ended up buying some prepackaged chocolates that are truly some of the best chocolates I have ever had in my life (both adorably packaged Easter egg chocolates and mini bars that came in the most beautiful rainbow of colors in a perfect little box). I am a true chocolate enthusiast, so this was a highlight for me on this visit to Brussels and was also a lovely way to bring some goodies home with me to share with family and friends.
I also tried an assortment of the pralines, which Consuelo so graciously offered me her suggested favorites (Leading Lady was one of my favorites!), which I can now say were all truly delightful. Such a great experience. Cannot wait to return.Written March 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
