Absolutely loved this food market… I would visit Rotterdam again just for this food market!

So much choice there really is something for everything!

It was the perfect experience. You will see the complete map of rotterdam painted in Van Gogh style. Really fun to see Rotterdam painted like this. Besides that you will experience the cube houses from the inside which is something spectacular. The only downside was that we could not stay there for a night because it was amazing!!!

My cappuccino was €3.50, my small lasagna slice €12.95 and the most beautiful sweater costs €179. So I guess the Bijenkorf is indeed an upmarket department store. Still, in spite of upmarket prices it is a nice store to buy, eat and drink.

The Markthal in Rotterdam is very close to Blaak station which is served by trams and buses as well as the Metro for the local area. There are also trains further afield from the NS station to local areas and Inter City trains taking you further afield. If you cannot get a direct train then it is only one stop to Rotterdam Centraal which had many other destination opportunities.

The Markthal is an amazing piece of architecture and there are a wide variety of food stalls selling many different things to eat as well as other stalls and shops.

an extremely interesting place that represents an alternative vision on photography, and mixed media. During my visit, I had an interesting discussion with art curator and had discovered interesting photography. Great place to visit during your visit to Rotterdam in anyways!!

The arches of the former elevated railway and railway station just north of the city center have recently been transformed into units for shops and restaurants. Now already a location for trendy shops, coffee bars and restaurants, while more arches will be transformed into units for these purposes in the near future.

It is a great place if you are interested in art, culture or publishing. It is not a gallery in a tradditional sense, it is an artist book space. Here you can find range of unique books from all over the world. Sometimes there are special events- performances, bookreadings or workshops. Books displayed in Printroom are made by artists, designers and architects, often published in small edditons. These books are little art works to enjoy. Printroom is a showcase and reading room with a possibility to buy a range of titles. People there are very kind and will take time to guide you through this space once you arrive. It is a place to slow down and enjoy!
