Right in the middle of the city square. An impressive building among other smaller buildings around the square. A typical Dutch style. Didn’t not visit inside of the building due to corona.

The historic center of Goes including the city harbour is embedded in modern residential areas. North of the harbour there used to be a more or less open view on the old city. Now modern apartment blocks have been built here resulting in a complete circle obscuring any free sight. Further north even more urban 'development' takes place. A missed chance, but disregarding the new surroundings, the harbour is still a beautiful place with a pleasant mix of 16th to 19th century houses

Not long ago I took from long time friends on a walk in this area. Everyone really enjoyed it. When someone comes to visit I always take them here.

Stunning views from the highest point of Middelburg. They could get the window washers in more often for clearer views and pictures. No elevator of course and the stone steps up are the same you take down, two-way traffic and that is a tight fit. No real resting possibilities between bottom and top. There is seating upstairs though. You should be a bit fit. Bit certainly worth the four euro fee.

Nice little round church just inside the centre of Middelburg. It's not in-use anymore by the church, but can still be visited. The inside is quite simple, but you have the possibility to climb all the way up (which we didn't do as we had a 4-year old with us). Cobbled streets around the Oostkerk do fit well to complete the picture.

Zierikzee has many monuments and the whole city has stunning views and scenery. But the Zuidhavenpoort is perhaps the most beautiful spot in the old city centre.
Enjoy it from the terrace of Brasserie De Kaoie and double the pleasure.

educational outing for the whole family or colleagues with technical achtergrond.geweldige guides on how the locks work with a visit to the pump house and a boat trip on the canal.
because we need the level of the canal water be closely monitored partly due the tides and because we have salt water in the Westerschelde and fresh water in the canal.
Normally thousend of cars are driving over the pump house at the locks. It is really great to see and explore how the Locks really are working!!!

Very interesting to see. No tours, just a nice stop with a shop and restaurant. BUT if you can go to the Flood Museum you won't be disappointed! The museum is very educational and explains the floods and reason for all the dykes.

Good day to spend Easter! The excursion on this farm was beyond our expectations: around 200 ostriches, passionate, about these spices, owner of this farm. It’s preferably to book the time-slot of the visit

Educational and fun, in particular with children. The history of the decision making is well documented in the museum.

I walked at the Groese polders witch is a nice walking area. When I arrived at the beach I saw this lighthouse. The sky was blue and it was very sunny. Nice place to take some pictures.

We spent the afternoon at Panorama Walcheren. There are loads of reasons to visit and it is truly a worthwhile stop. Jo Dumon Tak is a wonderful artist. We had the privilege of a personal tour--we saw a number of panoramas, plus other paintings by Dumon Tak and also some by his students. The displays are well organized and each panorama is experienced individually. His use of color and light is amazing! He has a special ability to paint sky and water. Before this, I had no real appreciation of the panorama concept, as it relates to big art projects; now I will look for others wherever we go. A well done panorama allows you inside its subject. One piece dramatically places the viewer inside a brilliantly green forest. Another shows water on the beach that is so realistic, you would expect to get wet if you walked close. The building he works in is equally fascinating, as is the history of Walcheren Island; which was completely flooded during the Allied liberation of south Holland. Don't overthink it; just go there! We saw it off season, the exhibit reopens to the public in April, 2020.
