    Timeless essential
    This market is hundreds of years old. It sells fabric and haberdashery, mainly for clothes but also soft furnishings. It's a thriving bustling joyful experience and the offerings are often cheap and high quality.

    A cultural treasure hidden in Utrecht
    FOTODOK is one of those museums that you have to visit if you happen to visit The Netherlands. This museum is small compared to other museums in his country but the works that are exhibited there are very interesting. The central focus of this museum is documentary photography.

    Great little street market
    Great little street market that only open three days a week. Perfect for browsing the food stalls and getting a bite to eat. Excellent cheese stalls. Really enjoyed it

    Large mall
    We had a short stay in Utrecht. This is one place we wanted to see. It’s one of the largest malls in the Netherlands. They have tons of shopping and several dining options. It’s located near the central station.

    Doesn't Adhere to Posted Store Hours
    This is a very small but excellent art gallery in Amsterdam. I fell in love with a few pieces that I spied through the window and after seeing that the gallery was scheduled to open within 20 minutes, I spent some time at the coffee shop next door. Thirty minutes later and the gallery still wasn't open. I really wanted to look inside and discuss purchasing a piece or two, but alas nobody ever showed up. I'll swing back by (and make an advance appointment) next time I'm in town.

    Superb Games Shop
    Subculture is a brilliant games shop in the centre of Utrecht. Located on one side of the canal it is a great little shop to come and explore.

    The staff are really friendly, helpful and informative and were able to answer all my questions which was perfect.

    A must for anyone who likes games!

    Charming little art store
    Huge selection of prints, cards, and other art. I was really impressed by the variety and the uniqueness of their selection. Definitely a nice place to spend an hour browsing.

    Fun tasting store!
    What a fun store! With over 20 different cheese samples laid out for sampling with plenty of toothpicks, this store drew us in and woke us up. We tried everything from truffle cheese to smoked cheese to coconut cheese. We bought chocolates and cheese to go. I think it was the best part of our trip for my 6 year old son, and he wanted to go back in to try more samples when we walked by the store again later in the afternoon.

    Great shop for presents in a nice shopping area
    Loved this store. 3 small floors with lots of quirky cool things to buy (think kikkerland products and the likes) - excellent for presents!
    The shop is located in a great area for shopping and attractions -you can definitely spend a day walking around there. Short train ride from Amsterdam and then a 5 minute walk to the old city. Worth the trip.
