- Nicole LKingwood, TX82 contributionsIf you’ve never been, it’s something to see and experience. You will be fined if you take photos so best to keep your phone in your pocket and take in the environment.Written March 15, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lisa MGlasgow, UK10 contributionsMe & my husband went today, we where the only people there for our time slot and we had an amazing time.
Our tour guide Gia was amazing, so lovely and informative on not only working in the industry but on the building and the history too.
Gia made us both feel comfortable and gave us some insight into her own background and her work.
Would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Amsterdam and wants to learn abit more about sex work in Amsterdam.Written August 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. She's very sweet, and he's a little more grumpy toward the world but very nice to customers. I learned way more than I thought possible about fluorescence. It's amazing what you can see under ultraviolet and short wave light. I had a good time--definitely worth 5 euros! The picture is a case of ordinary looking rocks and crystals that completely change under the different lights.Written May 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Angharad M12 contributionsWent on a Sunday night, easy to get to by bus and cheaper than a taxi! The interiors cool, nice bar with loads to choose from! Fun night out and can choose to stay longer at the end by going at your own pace! Staff were also friendly and let us go in even though we were earlyWritten January 18, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lana 23Halden, Norway1 contributionOur family enjoyed our time at this location. It was a fantastic experience. We participated in the Judgement Day game, which is an excellent activity that combines logic, physical effort, and special effects. We highly recommend visiting if you enjoy puzzles and want to save the world. It's suitable for children aged 12 and up. Our kids were excited to play the game.Written February 21, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Belle-NoelCroydon, UK1,948 contributionsThe tour lasted over 2 hours and it was recommended to pre book a place for a fee on their website beforehand.
Those who did not and just reserved a free space were turned away due to group tours having a maximum number allowed within the city.
David was the tour guide for the SANDEMANs red light district tour. He was very funny and knowledgable and there was a lot of group participation. I have been on tours where it feels like a school group and only the guide speaks, so this one was a lot of fun.
It is definitely worth it paying to book a space.Written July 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. At the desk I was warmly welcomed by Federica, who noticed I was limping slightly so offered me a choice to use the lift. Jimbo escorted me to the first floors where you are told about the ways the land was reclaimed from the sea, that it also could be reflooded if necessary, how the windmills and a giant pumping station kept the land safe, also the uses and industries the area supported. These were interesting but I did think 'well, I wonder why did I bother?' I simply did not know what was to come next - up one flight of stairs and into the auditorium where we sat and put on our seat belts, all of which were checked to meke certain they were correct. Then it happened, the lights went down, the screen all around you darkened and the floor went away - you were flying!! Over the sea towards the land, the Netherlands, you flew, the seats lifting and turning as you banked, climbed and dived almost into the places you were flying over. As you flew over the fields you could smell the flowers, over the sea you felt the spray, over the castles you wondered if you would not actually hit them - totally immersive, hugely enjoyable, unbelievable.
It had to come to an end (I think I will if I visit Amsterdam again I will re-visit) so again I was asked to wait a moment and I would be taken down in the lift, really appreciated. In the shop I chatted to Margreet and had a coffee from Thilan - I was really impressed how friendly and willing to talk to me every staff member I met was.
I really do recommend this for any age, I cannot think of anything that has so impressed me and I am mid seventies!!Written March 14, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until the boss came to demand an additional €100 for our drinks. According to him, we had consumed more than double the amount of beer than we had actually received. The issue is not necessarily making a mistake; anything is possible. The problem lies in the boss's attitude when we tried to explain, providing evidence that it was a mistake. The boss became particularly aggressive and threatening, even going so far as to say, "Give me my money and go to hell," and "if you don't want to pay, I'll call people who will make you pay." We clearly felt this experience was a form of extortion.Written February 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen L4 contributionsThis is a wonderful tour. I've done alot of tours all over the world and this is one of my favorites. It isn't your typical history of the area tour. It's about discovering the vibe of Amsterdam, understanding what makes the city interesting and unique. There's a bit of interesting facts about the architecture, and the geography that are mixed in along the way. All of It's done as a way to teach you about the people and culture of Amsterdam. I highly recommend this tour!Written June 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
