Regardless of your opinion on prostitution, this area is not only a large draw for tourists, it’s full of history. Window prostitution is quite prevalent in this area. You can look but you shouldn’t take pictures of the workers. You’ll also see sex clubs and shops as well. This area can get quite crowded, especially at night. The prostitution museum is nearby. Prostitution was legalized in 1810 and brothels in 2000. Also, women would carry red lanterns to meet sailors at the port (as early as 1300s). This is definitely worth seeing at least once while in the city.

Great fun. Walking up to the building was thinking it doesn’t look very high so can’t be that good!
Soon as I first swung out I quickly realised it was more nerve racking than it looks from the bottom!
Great views across the city and great fun on the swing with really friendly staff

I've done the London dungeons so knew kind of what to expect, was still entertaining though and interesting to learn more about Amsterdam. Came away a certified witch....

We spent the week in Amsterdam during last year's (2019) Pride festival and can honestly say the whole event was absolutely amazing, especially the Saturday canal parade.
On the day of the parade, the whole city got involved in some way and partied from early morning onwards.
We found ourselves a spot on Prinsengracht canal a good hour before the first of the floats were due to arrive, which proved a very wise move as if we'd left it later we wouldn't have been able to see anything. We moved on to the Amstel later in the afternoon but the crowds were so huge we wished we'd hadn't moved from our original place.
We enjoyed it so much we're tempted to visit again in 2020.

The Alchemist is our best escape room experience so far! It has a stunning atmosphere, great decorations, unique and fun puzzles, and a quirky but beautiful story. If you try only one escape room in Amsterdam, this should be it.

The Vault feels like a real break-in with tense action and fun acting, and with a very modern look. Remember to have your story straight before you enter.

The Architect is a more traditional escape room, but definitely a beauty among its kind. The room has a great look, and the puzzles are well-thought out.

A great experience to do with friends or whoever! Although I'm not a fan of horror, I was on edge the entire time of being there and had great fun doing it!
    Be prepared to be scared!

I went with 5 friends and we really enjoyed the experience. If you are looking for a scary escape room with a great storyline, this is the right place for you. :)

Really cool place! Enjoyed the gaming experience (there are various different games to choose from co-op and deathmatch, and they are all produced in-house). And even got a bit of a history lesson on how VR gaming has developed over the years by the helpful and friendly staff. The bar area and couches are also pretty chill to hang out in after a game. Definitely recommend!

We came here for our team outing and we had such an incredible time! The staff were super friendly and the games were so nice! There are even couches for you to sit and watch people play their games. 10 out of 10!

We were thrilled to be among the first to play a completely new concept of an outdoor escape room game created by the Mystery City team: PuzzCrawl titled A Death in a Red Light.

As the name suggests, this unique concept combines a Pub Crawl with solving puzzles and, for us tourists in Amsterdam, it's an active way to explore the Red Light District, combined with socializing in amazing bars. In each of them, you receive or solve a part of a mysterious case, and, of course, a drink is included.

It was a lot of fun to explore the Red Light district while solving puzzles. The game is designed in a way that everyone finds something for themselves (even if you get stuck somewhere, there's a well-thought-out help system) - on the way from one venue to another, you also solve a bunch of entertaining challenges until you figure out what happened. The story is connected to real history, which gives it a special charm; it's also great that you won't be thirsty during the game.

Bravo for the original concept and excellent execution!

Super immersive experience, the actors and story were both amazing! The escape room managed to be frightening, encompassing horror elements, while not disrupting the ability to solve the puzzles. The highlight was definitely the story, but the puzzles were great as well!

It's better for each sector you install a board and you write in that board a short descriptions with a picture of each flower. Foe example how this flower born, naturally born or artificially by you, about the sex(is a girl or boy) howlong is their life, ... . But I want to be thankful 🙏 it's great.
