What travelers are saying
- konrad sAustralia106 contributionsTook a long stroll around the canals and streets. Delighting in the old architecture of the district with the original canal buildings and quirky museums. Very interesting.Written October 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- J EGreater Manchester, UK9 contributionsThere is no better way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing and walking. Everytime I come to Amsterdam I love a sit down here to listen to the fountains, birds and passers by. well maintained, clean and tidy.Written September 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pamela RLondon, UK151 contributionsLovely building with superb views.
There is a lookout swing for the super brave! Just not for me.
Coupled this visit with a meal in the revolving restaurant. Although this was quite pricey it was a great experience and the food was delicious.
The restaurant staff were very friendly and a nice touch is little hor d’oeuvres (free) followed by little chocolates treats after dinner.

Both were delightful experiences!
The Micropia center is very interesting and fun - they give you stuff to do and you can interact with basically everything. And the ZOO is just huge and amazing! All of the people who work there are very helpful and you can practically ask them anything about the animals.

There are lots of delicious food stalls which are great for the mid morning or afternoon snack (we got stroopwaffles, herring, sandwiches, juice, etc). There’s also some souvenirs here which seemed cheaper than you’ll find in the city centre. Overall, if you’re near and need a snack - definitely check it out.Written October 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TiffanyJohannesburg, South Africa1,105 contributionsNEMO Science Museum was an engaging, interactive attraction for all ages, featuring hands-on exhibits in various scientific fields. It’s educational and we really enjoyed our time there.Written October 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - therese lCobleskill, NY933 contributionsAn iconic bustling central square in the heart of Amsterdam. Great for people watching and a centrally located spot. There are pay public toilets in the shopping area nearby.Written October 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ainara77Donostia - San Sebastian, Spain54 contributionsThis was a very good experience. Although is not as big as the one in London, we thought that the museum was very nicely put together with it's themed rooms and interactive activities. The new figures are fantastically done.Written August 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bart G5 contributionsThis mill is run by mostly (old, dutch) volunteers who have a very good understanding of everything related to milling - up to the kinds of wood applied to different parts of the mill, the power harnessed by the wind, even Rembrandt related factoids. Absolutely recommended to visit! If you don’t speak Dutch, their english is unexpectedly perfect.Written October 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roman ShopaLviv, Ukraine435 contributionsI must admit this museum was much larger than I expected. Some sections were easy to anticipate, but others really astonished me. Probably the most attractive ones are about whales and waling, as well as the ship East Indiaman Amsterdam. There were three more ships to visit for an additional payment, but I skipped that and yet was exhausted after exploring all exhibitions. Plan to have more than 3 hours for a visit.
A disclaimer: I was there in August, 2023, not September.Written August 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The museum buildings are gorgeous and are in park like settings, and along canals. There are a lot of tourists, but the crowds seem to melt away. Places to eat and drink nearby. Buy your museum tickets ahead of time.Written June 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paul JUnited Kingdom7 contributionsExcellent restaurant on the seventh floor of the library with stunning views of Amsterdam.
Great selection of food from pizza, burgers, salad and various other yummy delights.
Very peaceful place to relax over a coffee or eat a nice lunch with a couple of drinks.
Approximately 10 minutes walk from Amsterdam Central Station.
I'd highly recommend you seek this place out.Written October 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You can scan your body, analyse a kiss, and study life under a microscope. Everyone working there was super friendly and happy to help too. A fun and unique experience.Written July 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kate M3 contributionsWe very much enjoyed our time at the Rembrandt’s Amsterdam experience. It is not a museum, it is more like an experience that you can immerse yourself in and enjoy the dramatic performance of Rembrandt and his story. At the end there was an option to create some fun AI Rembrandt style artwork, which we look back on with fondness. It was a great 1 hour fun which we were able to slot in whilst we were waiting for a restaurant booking. Thank you for the great experience.Written July 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
