Anne Frank is easily one of the most recognised names in WW2, holocaust history and this museum respectfully and effectively displays and tells her story. It is clear they have recently done some refurbishments on the museum which have been a massive improvement. The audio guide is informative and engaging and allows for all to be informed by facts and stories from people who knew Anne and her family first hand. The experience is thought provoking and emotional but well worth a visit.

We had a private english tour through get your guide which was bit extra but definitely worth it. Tour guide gave a talk on Van Gogh life and his paintings.. this was so interesting. Tour was 2 hours and group was small. Would definitely recommend.

This museum is high quality and has many different types of art and collections. I was in awe with many of the paintings and enjoyed every room. This was worthwhile visiting.

The best part is the tasting at the end, where you get to sample freshly brewed Heineken, straight from the source. Staff are very knowledgable.

Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder is an absolutely fascinating and unique experience. Hidden in the heart of Amsterdam, this beautifully preserved 17th-century canal house offers a glimpse into the city's rich history and religious tolerance. The highlight is the secret Catholic church in the attic, which is both breathtaking and thought-provoking.

The museum is not only visually stunning but also incredibly educational. The audio guide provides detailed insights into the historical context, architecture, and personal stories of the time. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in history, culture, or architecture.

I highly recommend this museum for both locals and tourists. It’s a true hidden gem that offers a deep dive into Amsterdam’s past in an engaging and memorable way! Don’t miss it!

Fantastic, classical building. Well organized and easy to get around. Connects with the tram system right outside. In the heart of the city, it's a great location to start your walk around the sights of Amsterdam.

Wow, one of the best museums we’ve ever been to!
This was not only a super fascinating and well planned exhibition, it also had the most friendly staff we’ve ever met. They made the start of our visit a super positive one.
The body works themselves are amazing and both of us genuinely read every single piece of information (and we don’t like reading ;) ). They use the bodies to educate on mental and physical health concepts that should honestly be taught in every school to everyone. Being able to see the results of lifestyle factors, or other illnesses, promotes reflection within your own life and fosters positive motivation for change :)) would highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

    Very well-organized, clean, and engaging.
The staff was very polite, also.
Do not lose the opportunity to imagine Rembrandt's life in his working and living space. Highly recommended!
(Just a suggestion to the Museum: providing the possibility to choose the playback speed on the guided tour would be the golden touch.)

The Royal Palace Amsterdam is about a 20 minute walk from where our cruise ship docked. We were able to get in without booking tickets on line, it wasn’t crowded. Price was reasonable, 25 euros total for 2 adults. Audio guides are free in many languages, and are interesting The rooms on the tour are very well preserved. An hour is enough to see the tour.

I have to admit I was a bit dubious about this given the advertising and the schtick on the website. I was pleasantly surprised though because there is a lot packed into a small space, and there was some surprises and some great art. Robbie Williams - who'd have thunk it - was worth seeing; there was a lot of great art that came from street art and graffiti (not just Banksy); and some great Japanese artists too. The only issue was that the art was packed, and even though we were there in the morning, it was also packed, so that sometimes you had to wait about to get a chance to experience things properly. But overall I was very happy to see a lot of this work.

I had always put off this museum on prior visits to Amsterdam because I thought it was for children, but I was wrong about that! The top floor is definitely geared toward adults and has so many interactive exhibits that we stayed much longer than we expected. We worked our way down through the rest of the museum, watched a short show on a Rube Goldberg type of machine, and enjoyed all of it. The museum has free lockers on the lower level, a nice gift shop, and restrooms on every floor. Would recommend!
