Amsterdam is so neat to walk anywhere. This is a fun area to kick back and enjoy a beverage and some food. Get lost and enjoy it!

very nice peaceful park, there are even some herons there, and some nice bars on the waterfront. You could easily spend a day there.

If you just have enjoyed dinner at the famous Sea Palace, then walk 100 m you will find OBA. We saw a small photo exbi about Ukraine and another photo exbi about asian rooted people in Amsterdam. Nice place to relax little bit and use clean public toilet for tourists.

Dam square was always busy with crowds of people, taking photos and watching the street entertainment. Me and my sister watched so many street performers early evening

A lovely vibe to the square

A lovely quiet place off a busy street - we were really pleased to be recommended this by our hotel. You are only allowed in for 15 minutes and no food allowed. You are asked to be quiet to respect the residents who live here. Lovely historical place to visit.

An average market with nothing out of the usual but a pleasant enough street and worth visiting. We enjoyed our Stroopwafels and there were several good food stands that were tempting.

The Museum Quarter in Amsterdam is one of my personal favorites. The area got a lot of the best museum in the Netherlands and Amsterdam and the area itself is wonderful too. Relax on the grass field or chill at the fountain. Enough to see and do!

Great views, and canal tours. Well worth a stroll, many things to see and do.

Check out the houses leaning over with the beams to lift cargo to the top floors in the Dutch East India Company's heyday.

Rembrandt Plein (Rembrandt Square) is a very popular and vibrant square in Amsterdam with impressive Rembrandt statue placed in the center of the square in 19th century. In commemoration of Rembrandt’s 400th birthday, bronze figures from Rembrandt’s famous painting “Night Watch” were placed in front of the statue in 2006. When I visited the square in 2010, however, I could not see those Night Watch figures, because they were on exhibition tours to New York, Moscow and Oranienbaum until 2012. But when I visited the square in August 2019, the Night Watch figures returned to Rembrandt Square, standing in front of Rembrandt Statue.
The Night Watch figures were elaborate and detailed representation of Rembrandt’s master piece.
The statue area was crowded with visitors posing for souvenir photos. Rembrandt Statue was not the only magnet drawing countless visitors to the square. The square with many restaurants, cafes, bars, and hotels attracted many visitors, making the square a vibrant place day and night. The square could be easily reached by metro or tram.
