When going to Amaterdam, I looked on the map and saw the park and I thought “what would I do in a park in Amsterdam!?”. But while walking and strolling around I saw some nice flowers in the end of some street, went there and saw the park and wow. It was very nice. And there is a cafe-restaurant there just in front of the lake. So you can think of going there and having a meal between your other activities in Amsterdam.
Quite pleasing with all the ducks and birds and the lake and greenery.

It was beyond my expectations. I like small funny animals like beaver and kapibaras, but there are big ones too like elephant, giraffe, gorilla and some buffalo.

Nice place in the heart of Amsterdam. Cosy inside. Friendly staff and big portions. Enough tables even without pre-booking.

The Amstel is a busy waterway which brought huge wealth to Amsterdam many years ago. Nowadays, more relaxed with many seats to sit & watch. Wide bridges criss-cross this river which are worth checking out.

My wife did a Park Run here while we were on holiday. Easy to get to by bus from Amsterdam and then a really short walk. Lots to see and just relax.
Nice community cafe by the entrance.

We recently visited Amsterdam for a couple of days and stayed at Hotel Sebastion on Keizergracht, one of the main, semi-circlur ring canals that were constructed in the 17th-century and give the city so much of its charm and character.

Our hotel room window opened up to the canal which was nice even if the trees were bare, skies rather gloomy and dark and waters seemingly the same during February. We enjoyed strolling along Keizergracht, much the same as walks along Herengracht and Prinsengracht, taking in occasional stops on the bridge to watch cyclers go by or vessels ply the canal waters beneath.

During the warmer seasons these ring canals are gorgeous waterways and so lovely to see and experience. During the meh winter months, they are still nice, particularly at night with the bridge and building lights illuminating your walks alongside the canals.

Lovely gardens and greehouses, but they need to sort the cafe out. Lovely staff, but a complete shambles, with lots of tables having 'reserved' signs on them, just to stop people taking them and overwhelming the understaffed kitchen. Great place, but hopeless cafe, I'm afraid.

This is very near to central station. There is nothing much to see and do. Can definitely skip it. This is not a the just do bucket list.

Went here as one of the last things we did in Amsterdam before we all travelled back to our respective countries - we had lunch on one of the park benches a short walk away from the metal dome installation (whilst also having to shield our Albert Heijn lunches from some very large birds hissing around us) and then slowly wandered around the park for a bit before making our way back to the entrance. Absolutely wonderful experience, and a lovely change of pace from everything going on in the city itself.

Sometimes I am surprised about what you can do for free in Amsterdam. This park is fantastic for all. There are ample playgrounds, outdoor gyms, grass areas and if you explore a little you can find amazing woodland areas with lots of fun activities such as a zipline, water crossings, and you can even rent a net to catch some critters.

There are also loads of great cafes and restaurants in the area and the first Sunday of every month is a great outdoor market.

The park is a short ride or walk from the centre of Amsterdam and I find it much calmer than the Vondelpark.

We loved this place. It was clean and peaceful and pretty. There is a hotel and a camp site with shop, restaurant and shower facilities too. The lake is beautiful. The place is very well kept. Worth a visit for sure if you're in the area. Music festivals are held there on occasion.

Rent a bike in Amsterdam (if you don't already have one), take the free ferry to North Amsterdam, and cycle 20 minutes to 't Twiske--a large, quiet park with a big lake in the middle, meandering bike paths, bordering pastures with cows, horses, and goats, free swimming beaches, rest rooms, a lovely windmill, a little restaurant, and a small marina. Great pause from the busy, crowded, hot city.

The most visited park in Amsterdam

That is how it is described. The park was under construction when we went there in July 2022. The ambiance is great and well visited. But I would rather go to Vondelpark if I had to choose

Rembrandtpark is a great place to relax, especially on a warm day! Not as busy as most other parks in the city, so a great place to escape to!
