Such a beautiful and big building. So many different interesting things. Art, music, history. I could use a whole day in there.

We needed to book our entry but the hotel managed to get tickets for our friends as well 12 especially friday evening and weekends you need to book otherwise no tickets. A must to visit when you are in Amsterdam easy to reach by tram from the central station quite a long ride but onvenient.

The museum is not cheap, but a visit can be worthwhile. The unusual Banksy artworks are worth seeing, as well as there is other modern art to look at.

I think it's a shame that so many people are allowed into the museum. For my taste, the number of visitors should be limited even more.

I enjoyed a return solo trip to the Rembrandt House Museum recently. I used my Holland Museum card ( well worth it as there are so many fun museums in Holland!) and walked right in. It is very well
Done and interesting. My only disappointment is that since reopening after Covid all of the tours are self driven with an audio guide. On my first visit we had a tour guide lead a small group through. He entertained us with interesting stories about Rembrandt who was a bit of a cad, tax evader and narcissist! Fascinating stories. The audio version is a watered down description of his life. But it us still a very well done and detailed tour! Highly recommend!

I don’t want to post a lot of pictures of exhibition, you should check yourself. But I will say that cafe is 2.5/5, very expensive and not very delicious.

An interesting (and more relaxed) alternative to the more famous (and much busier) museums and galleries nearby. As you might expect for a museum of this kind, the exhibits are rather hit-and-miss, but there is plenty of material on display, and so there is highly likely to be something memorable and interesting whenever you visit. Personally for me visiting in May 2022, the exhibition of work by Hito Steyerl was definitely the highlight.

Another big and beautiful vintage canal house. You have beautiful living room on the upper floor as well as big and lovely garden in which you can sit. Perfect for fans of vintage.

We wanted to know about the history of Amsterdam and having read reviews about the Amsterdam museum we didn’t feel that that was what we were looking for. Instead we found the Museum of Canals. Although the museum was pricey for what it was, the exhibitions were excellent. We came away with a much greater understanding of how Amsterdam grew into the great city it is today. A great find.

An interesting at at times, highly amusing experience. Lots of historical exhibits and many photos.

    Definitely not for children !

Visited with my sister and 91 year-old mother who coped admirably with the numerous steep staircases and all agreed it was good entertainment, and a good way to escape the unseasonably cold and windy April weather at reasonable cost.

A quite delightful exhibition of Bill Brandt’s work Covers one floor - scenes from London, famous people, working class and the aristocracy. It’s magnificent. The rest of the museum is not unpleasant but is a little uninspiring. Go for the Brandt - sensational.

This museum or rather impressive house is worth the visit. The tour takes you through the house which have incredible different art pieces. It is truely unique. The bible collection is at the top floor, really worth the visit. You need about 2 hours. A tea garden is located at the back.

There some periodical expositions there that are really interesting, although the museum is not so big.
