Simply stunning and exactly what you expect to see. Make sure you see the canals in the day and night.

Walked to Skinny Bridge at night time, however, the canal cruise boats also go past. Didn't see much else around the area so maybe the cruise is best way to view (at night is best)

This bridge is at the corner of Herengracht with Reguliersgracht. We actually seen this as part of a boat ride early evening just as it was going dark. All the bridges were beautifully lit up. Wonderful.

The Python Bridge is an interesting looking bridge with a wavy, undulating form that spans the canal between Sporenburg and Borneo Island. The strange shape is actually to allow taller ships to pass underneath.

Looks very pretty and fun to walk across a "step" bridge in famously flat Amsterdam, with great views over the canals.

For leftist militants this bridge will forever be linked with battle. During the coronation of a new queen -30 April 1980- the bridge was the scene of confrontation between special police units (ME) and protesters who tried to make their way to Dam square. At the time the adjacent Stopera area was just a bare lot of land suitable for both mounted police and youngsters to fight it out.

For lovers of city architecture it is just another monumental bridge. Built in 1883, the design inspired by Pont Neuf across the Seine river in Paris.

Aluminiumbrug is one of many drawbridges in Amsterdam. Beautiful? No, not at all. A special one? Yes! because it was first Dutch bridge with an aluminum bridge deck. Tourist began to hang love padlocks in the brug but it's forbidden because it would damage the ( aluminium ) bridge.

There are small bridge crossings scattered throughout central Amsterdam. And then you find Torensluis, which is one of the widest in the entire city at 42 metres wide.

The reason for the size of this particular bridge is that it included tower as part of its original construction in the mid 17th-century.

These days, you find a large open space with wide views of the Single, as you cross Torensluis. On the north side of the bridge there is an interesting contemporary statue of 19th-century Dutch writer Eduard Douwes Dekker (Multatuli).

The bridge, named after city sculptor Piet Kramer, features seals looking out over the water, as well as two bridge houses, one of which houses a puppet theatre. Cool artwork, nice views.

Nescio bridge is a cycle and footbridge in Amsterdam. It's connected the Ijburg (the eastside area of the city) and Amsterdam east. This steel suspension bridge is the first suspension bridge only for pedestrian and cylists in the country. And with the length that almost 800m, it's also the longest cycle and footbridge in the Netherlands. The bridge has won several awards. The only way to get to this bridge is by bike.

Enneus Heermabrug (bridge) is a bridge in a quite new neighbourhood in Amsterdam, the Ijburg. The Ijburg is located on the eastern edge of the city. The bridge was finished in 2001 and it is for cars, pedestrians, bikers and tram traffic (tram number 26). From a distance you see it just a bridge but when you are standing on it, it's wow!, really a great work. Because of the shape of the bridge, there was a rumor that locals called it 'BH' brug ( bra bridge).

Vaz Dias bridge is one of so many bridges in Amsterdam. it is the bridge number 238. The railings of the bridge are nicely decorated with steel construction shapes. It becomes an interesting bridge when you have a chance to see the poem that is arranged in twelve panels below the trap ( under the bridge ). I just had a chance to see it when the boat I was in, passing by under this bridge.

This bridge has a hidden terrace allowing to sit closer to the water and enjoy the scenery. Instead of Hildo Krop, Ton Kalle provided the half circles atop the pillars. Nice quaint bridge.

"Stadion Bridge" is the original name of this bridge number 413 as it's not far from the Olyimpic Stadium of Amsterdam. It's located on Amstelveenseweg over the Zuider Amstelkanaal. But since 2016 the name was changed into Aldo van Eyckbrug, an architect with his great merits for the architectural beauty in Amsterdam. This is a typical Amsterdam School style. Two 8 m high pedestal with statues on both sides at the south part of the bridge represent as boundary marker, while at the north side of the bridge there is a windrose. On the stairs there was description of the year, anno 1937. One is a statue of a mother with her child on her right shoulder and the other is a statue of the bridge keeper.

Nice bridge with imposing backdrops formed by the Lyceum on one side and the Indië-Nederland monument om the other. Pretty ornaments by Krop. Little bridge houses on both sides, apparently inhabited?

There are so many bridges in Amsterdam, big or small, wide or narrow, made from iron, wood or stone, permanent or lift bridge, plain or decorated, old or modern, ugly or beautiful and nice to see, you name it. There are bridges with name but also bridges only in number. Brug 382 is one of the stone-iron brige with decoration that were designed in Amsterdam school style architecture. The decoration is not only by the bridge self but it's carried along the quays. In all information about this bridge, it was built in 1936 but along the stairs, there was a description "gebouwd in 't jaar 1935" ( it was built in the year 1935). There are a lot bridges in Amsterdam school style that even more beautiful than this one.
