- Louise W197 contributionsWe had just done the Heineken tour before this micro brewery which we had pre planned doing both and what a difference from price of entry to actual experience.
This is a small bar inside a
Windmill and you pay a small fee to hear the history within a time a lot. The guy doing the experience was great, gave you the background history to now and was funny. You got a small taster within the time. It’s short and sweet but I learnt more about this miscro brewery than I did walking around the giant Heineken experience
Having to read up on everything myself.
After you can go and enjoy food and drinks in the very busy bar with a great atmosphere. The food was great and my husband really enjoyed the beers that he tried. The service was great and we even bought a box of beers to take home with us. We cannot recommend this taproom enough. Don't walk, run here. Hubby had a saison and wasn’t impressed (he is a serious craft brew fellow). I tried their white wine and almost spit it out.
While the drinks didn’t thrill us, we enjoyed sitting out on the patio….for a while. Gave the server our order then waited 20 minutes…. Hubby gives up and walks inside, server is enjoying a sandwich and ignored him. We wait 10 more minutes before our drinks are served. Note..there were very few guests.

We loved the social character of the brewery and to us that warm feeling was reflected in their beer! The tour guide was wonderful and we learned so much about their beer. We were in a big group of 29 highly skilled expats and we all had a fantastic time!
