It’s very easy to find somewhere to sit and watch the world go by. It is situated next to Large Church Breda - Our Dear Mother Church and probably where most tourists will gravitate towards.Written August 11, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pim VestersBreda, The Netherlands38 contributionsValkenberg City Park is an absolute gem, perfect for those looking to enjoy a sunny day with friends and family. With a small BBQ in hand, you can easily find a cozy spot to set up and relish the beautiful weather. As you relax, you'll notice the vibrant atmosphere all around – people laughing, eating, and savoring every moment.
One of the park's highlights is the restaurant/bar in the park that also features restroom facilities, making your stay even more comfortable. For families with children, the park boasts several playgrounds where the little ones can let off steam and have a great time.
Valkenberg isn't just about leisure; it also offers a few interesting sights to explore. Among the charming features of the park are the friendly chickens that roam freely, adding a delightful touch to the environment.
So, if you're searching for a tranquil spot to enjoy the weather and perhaps host a small BBQ with your group, Valkenberg City Park is your go-to destination. This park truly has it all – from picturesque settings and lively ambiance to convenient amenities and fun activities for everyone.Written June 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Deryl GHythe, UK103 contributionsNice little walk around the gardens once I have found the entrench which is around the back next to the canal. Good mix of formal and cottage garden. Shame no coffee shop or way to see inside the castle. Gardens not open at weekends. Strange.Written August 22, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- IbelyBreda, The Netherlands94 contributionsWe went here for dinner, not really for the gambling. The restaurant is truly excellent. We all had different dishes and every single one looked and tasted great. There is space to eat and watch the casino floor.
The casino is located in an old convent. It has been restored by the casino in a way that the additions can be undone. The games on the ground floor are in the former courtyard. There are many other areas which have a great atmosphere and are beautifully lit.Written November 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
