- RVA54Rotterdam, The Netherlands192 contributionsInteresting history of Friesland based on overview pictures of landscapes and cities, nice paintings of famous couple Christoph and Kate Bisschop, the life of Mata Hari as well as the second world war impact on friesland gave us an interesting afternoon.

- Johannes W1 contributionWe sadly only had time to do parts of the tour. It is definitely a great experience, fun for kids as well as parents. It changes your perspective on how to walk through a city and what to look at first ā the miniature people show you it is the details that count as much as the city as a whole.Written April 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 349Charles25Alexandria, VA984 contributionsThe town planners have created a large open square in front of the Old Tower which makes it easy to see how much it leans. One can visit inside and climb to the top. The square is on the edge of Leeuwarden and is a short walk to other attractions.Written December 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kphAmsterdam, The Netherlands74 contributionsGreat museum with a big collection and the current GIF exhibition is very interesting. We visited late in the afternoon during the week so it was quiet, however, it's very Corona proof: hand gel everywhere, mandatory face mask for adults and staff. The underwater safari is paid separately, it lasts only 7 minutes and it's cute, but I wouldn't waste time waiting for it if the place is crowded.Written October 24, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - aeboumaAlkmaar, The Netherlands19 contributionsLovely museum to find out about the Fries Resistance and Frisians. It was very peaceful.
There was an open-air concert outside, just in front of the museum and you heard nothing inside. Friendly staff.Written July 2, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Stop for a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy the atmosphere.Written October 7, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elisabeth HatlemBispgƄrden, Sweden102 contributionsWe felt like guests in this maison because we got such a warm welcome! It is fun for the kids to be allowed to open all doors and look at everything. This is really worth visiting with kids.Written October 30, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- yuval14Tel Aviv, Israel21 contributionsThe zoo is nice, slightly different from the zoos in the Netherlands.
There is a walking track outside where you can see the animals.
There is also a restaurant and a playground for children.
In terms of cons, some of the animals were not in their homes. Also, the place is less suitable for the winter period for those who are not used to the cold.
In conclusion, a nice entertainment place for the family.Written April 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Like a box of chocolates, there is something for everyone.: veteran cars, classic radios, toys, trainsets in working order, a beautiful and important collection of lace and related crafts. You can spend hours in this museum, and forget all about the world outside. My husband and I are definitely coming back, as we haven't seen half of it.Written September 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
