- Beach11Gyomro, Hungary7 contributionsWe visited the Naturmuseum with my 3 yr old hoping that he wouldn’t be too young for the exhibitions. He loved everything and he was so excited to see what lies behind that wall, under those stairs... There are a lot of interactive educational parts in the museum - e.g.this was the first time that he looked into a microscope. Although it is a smaller museum, we spent about an hour there and my son kept going back to try the interactions/look at animals he might have missed. Very good value for money (free entry for under 16s and only CHF5 per adult). There was no parking spaces left in front of the museum, but you can park in the theater’s parking garage or by Manor/Coop. Very much recommendedWritten March 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- mohitg76Zug, Switzerland64 contributionsWent there today with 3 kids under 10. A very good place to explore on a rainy day. It looks very small from outside but it is BIG inside and has a lot of displays. We did but follow the path and explored with kids. It was good fun and kids loved it. I’m not many places one can see actual skeletons of a dinosaur.
All in all a good place. Family ticket costed us CHF58.Written November 1, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Sandra RBavaria, Germany129 contributionsUnfortunately we visited Zurich on a very wet and rainy weekend. I purchased a Zurich Card mainly because we would be using the bus, tram and train so much but boy was I excited to find out it also included FREE admission to museums. My 11 year old son wanted to go here mainly for the fossil and prehistoric exhibition. I really enjoyed the human body and anatomy exhibition as my son and I were able to touch bones and have great discussions throughout. The second level of the museum is about "100 smells". Very interesting and interactive exhibit. I really enjoyed this part of the museum as I felt the two of us were really enjoying "quality time" together which is difficult to come by in the hectic 40 hr/week US lifestyle. Mostly all of the displays and explanations are in German. Neither one of us speak German but we had no problem playing the interactive games, puzzles and smelling different scents. You can get to the museum on a short tram ride from any of the city stops, just look for tram 3 or 8 (Hottingerplatz) or tram 15 (Englischvierelstrasse) and it's less than a two minute walk from either stop. I recommend this museum for children of all ages and adults, especially if you are stuck in Zurich on a rainy day.Written November 21, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Marina Ć24 contributionsFree entrance, interactive exhibits, no crowds, and best of all - huge seating area with a coffee machine (CHF1.5 for a cappucino, 3x less than in a downtown shop). I wish I could spend more than 2h there...Written July 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
