Gornergrat
#1 of 23 Sights & Landmarks in Zermatt
The cogwheel train ride up to Gornegrat Bahn provides a superb view of the Matterhorn & the surrounding mountain with the snow, sunshine and superb natural mountain scenery.
The cog train provided wonderful vistas on the way up, panoramic views from the top, convenient on and off opportunities all the way down to hike in varied terrain, and easy access to a quaint restaurant for lunch.

Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis
#5 of 23 Sights & Landmarks in Zermatt
For a picture-perfect unobstructed view of the Matterhorn, go down the street between the museum and the church to the 2nd bridge and look right.
We stay at Hotel Zermatterhof right next door to this museum with a balcony with gorgeous view of the Matterhorn.

Well worth walking up a little behind the main street, as you get a good view back down, and the church has an interesting story to tell, with a simple, peaceful atmosphere.

Easy, enjoyable route with beautiful views - it took us 15 - 20 min?
