- mazenhosnBeirut, Lebanon233 contributionswalking around the lake is amazing, having a drink at bain de paquis is refreshing. many nice restaurants atound the lakeWritten May 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Steve_Grant1Oldham, UK1,322 contributionsThis is the most known site in Geneva and a must see. You can see it from all around the lakeside. I would however recommend the boat across and walk to the pier where the jet springs from. A tip is to check the switch on and off times as twice we tried and the jet was on when on the boat but off when we got to the pier.Written May 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- M 4mouseSlovenia54 contributionsWe came quite late in the evening, place was packed, but managed to find a table. We had fondue for 2, although we should have ordered for 1 person and share, since we could only manage half a bowl. Quite charming, when staff is delivering a prepared fondue by calling your name out loud, since you order by desk and not from the table:). Delicious meal though, very nice, relaxed atmosphere by the lake, double rainbow was part of the experience, since it rained a bit. We also had a bottle of red, though nothing special and quite pricey, but I guess that's just a regular Geneva experience. Looking forward to revisit!Written August 2, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sabine WalkerPretoria, South Africa14 contributionsThis magificent cathedral will leave you in awe. The combination of breathtaking architecture, the untold stories of thousands of congregants that came before, and the peace that permeates the cathedral make this a truly wonderful experience.Written May 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sabine WalkerPretoria, South Africa14 contributionsA visit to the Red Cross museum will tear at your heart, as you read about the horrors inflicted by people on people, and it will also raise your spirits to read of the selfless work done, and being done, by so many. Most of all, it makes you aware that humans learn so little from the past - a stark reality given the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Everyone should visit this museum for a powerful experience.
I thought I was aware of the good work done by this organisation but after visiting the museum I realise how little I knew. I am in awe of those who work tirelessly on behalf of victims of war.Written May 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - B1714DBelgrade, Serbia12,523 contributionsThis is a nice bronze sculpture set close to the lake, just by the Flower Clock.
It was erected in honor of Geneva joining the Helvetic Confederation.Written April 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - SnowyShastaPortland, OR1,571 contributionsThe Palais des Nations is the headquarters for the United Nations, and the outside was impressive. We enjoyed seeing the front facade and the flags lining the approach. We would have enjoyed the tour that is normally available, but due to Covid restrictions it wasn't operating during our visit. We were still glad that we took the time to walk by and see the building, as well as the nearby plaza and Broken Chair scuplture.Written September 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sabine WalkerPretoria, South Africa14 contributionsThis is an experience for the whole family and must not be missed. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy this really fabulous museum.Written May 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Chris RLos Angeles, CA3 contributionsA very interesting and unique museum exhibit catering to not only Patek Philippe watches but other watch makers from the beginning of the 16 century to present day.Written May 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sabine WalkerPretoria, South Africa14 contributionsWe had a morning to visit the beautiful botanical gardens and it wasn’t enough - these magnificent gardens need a full day and bring a picnic. Absolutely glorious experience.Written May 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- GreenMountainGirlsMontpelier, VT180 contributionsThis is the only place in the area where normal people have access to the lake. The surrounding properties are private and restricted access. The beach is rocky. The kids had fun. We went on a cold and windy day, so it was not crowded and we enjoyed the views of snow-capped mountains and swans and other water birds.Written March 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Madison EPortsmouth, UK20 contributionsMe and my cousin visited here after visiting the CERN just close by! Its a beautiful botanical garden, free to enter!
Lots of wonderful flowers, ponds and log piles. Plenty of benches to sit and rest on.
The animals were a great highlight, so many lizards running around the flower beds basking on the rocks, frogs in the pools and friendly cheeky goats!Written May 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Steve_Grant1Oldham, UK1,322 contributionsThis is a must visit when you are in the city and also visiting the United Nations site and the Red Cross site. A poignant reminder of what war and its legacy’s can do.Written May 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Steve_Grant1Oldham, UK1,322 contributionsThis is a beautiful chapel to visit. However, you could miss it as it is to the left just before the exit of the cathedral. Keep your eyes peeled as you leave.Written May 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- NICHOLAS TDubai, United Arab Emirates5,159 contributionsThis is a large park directly next to Lake Geneva.
There are a number of buildings within the grounds, which are very well kept, and plenty of places to sit and take it all in.
Worth a visit.Written September 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
