We could have used more time in Florence but she marked a map with places to see and that was very helpful. They offered us different options and let us choose what to do and to see while in Livorno. We loved this indipendent attitude and their enthusiasm regarding their hometown. We had a taste of yummy treats as 'frate' (=light doughnut) and '5&5' (=vegan checkpea flour flan in a bun) and visited the panoramic Terrazza Mascagni on the seaside promenade and the old Little Venice, charming district built on canals with lots of nice fish restaurants. Francesco arrived right on time at the cruise port and took us to Pisa, dropping us off at the best entrance for crowd-free photos. In Florence, he guided us to key points of interest and shared great recommendations for shopping and lunch. He made sure that we were back on time to board the ship. She gave my wife and I a thorough understanding and history of the city and showed us all of the important sights taking into consideration my walking difficulties.
