They gave us such a warm, friendly welcome and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole activity. Pietro lead us on the water and proved to be an incredible instructor, with the majority of us being first timers. He was calm, reassuring and knowledgable… and SO MUCH FUN. For something a bit different and to get a different perspective of the city, we decided on an early morning 2hr paddle boarding session along The Arno in Florence and under the Ponte Vecchio. It meant a 06:30 start but we were richly rewarded. The city wakes up slowly and it's lovely experiencing it from the water. Tommaso was an amazing guide, incredibly friendly, and gave us insights to a rich history we had previously been unaware of. He also took lots of lovely photos. This is a very gentle route, perfect for beginners (Tommaso provides lots of encouragement, guidance if needed and allows you to set your own pace) but it's also great for those with a bit more experience who just want to soak up Florence from a different angle.
