The art is incredible and it’s a really neat experience. Absolutely love the items we purchased and would buy more.

Florence is a city of heart. Everywhere you look everywhere you go there is art. And it’s stunning. All of it. The thing I really liked about this gallery is the style of their art. The Guarnieri brothers, Roberto and Rodolfo, have spent years working their craft and it shows. Combining the ancient history of the city of Florence and the Italian legacy of frescos and adding a modern flair, I’ve not seen anything like their work anywhere else. The art is unique, bold and fun with a balance of color and design, these brothers create beautiful paintings and frescos that are pleasing to the eye and food for the soul. They are also very nice to visit with. Kind, generous and dedicated to their vision I really enjoyed this experience and would highly recommend visiting this gallery.

If you are looking for a place for some extremely unique souvenirs from Florence this is the place. You can get buttons, stickers, t-shirts, playing cards and much more. These were a big hit with our kids, grandkids and friends. Clet is apparently sometimes in attendance, but he happened to be in L.A. when we were here.

This is my second visit to this gallery in person but I have built a relationship with the staff over time. This gallery and workshop are family owned and everyone working there is dedicated to the preservation of the centuries old tradition of Florentine mosaics. These artists cut, polish and create ‘pictures in stone’ BY HAND! Truly amazing. When you come by, ask for a tour of the workshop.

Jacopo and Bruno are really masters in Pietra Dura Mosaics, the best masters. Each one of their works is a masterpiece, unique, precious and perfect. If you forgot to buy a mosaic in the "bottega" in Florence it is not too late: buy your precious Italian artworks at commessofiorentino dotcom

I commissioned Gabriele to paint me. It is exquisite! He is a master of the human body. Also, he is a complete gentlemen. I will relish the painting for the rest of my life! The painting is so stunning and I just really am so grateful and thankful for the experience! Gabriele is extremely talented, and is one of the last true artisans in Florence for paintings.

Il dipinto è così bello e speciale!

As a lover of contemporary art, every time I go to Firenze, I will definitely pay a visit to Strozzina. The part I love the best is the courtyard, which works like a showcase window of the exhibition inside, with site-specific installations, always nice, and open to the public. If not enough time for the well-curated temporary exhibitions, just a sitting at the courtyard or a caffe at the bar can also be very inspiring and relaxing.
The only negative opinion about the space is about the toilette, for the ground floor of Palazzo Strozzi, there is only one toilette near the bar open with key, so only client of the bar can use the toilette, or there is another one on the first floor belonging to exhibition space of Palazzo Strozzi, so you can go only if you have the ticket to visit the exhibition up floor.

I discovered this gem 5 years ago when I was last in Florence. I purchased a couple of things that Anastazija made and shipped to me. Some time later I broke the olive oil bottle much to my dismay but was able to contact her about making another. So going to see her this trip was a must. I now have a pitcher on order with her. She is delightful and extremely talented. Take the time to find her little shop and enjoy her unique style.

The best contemporary art gallery in town. It's just two mins away on foot from the station. Check before going as it's not always open.
