The district Oltrarno has many historical buildings. It is possible to find different shops and restaurants for any budget. Recommended to visit, better by walk.

Piazza della Liberta is a historical plaza. In my opinion, here looks more beautiful than other more popular plazas in Florence. Traffic around plaza is noisy, but it is worth visiting.

This long street runs, in a general north/south direction, from Piazza della Liberta, past Piazza San Marco, Leonardo Museum and ends just one block from Piazza del Duomo at Palazzo Medici Riccardi.

We ended up sharing a wonderful mixed charcuterie and cheese board of assorted local cheeses and charcuterie chosen by the chef. They also issue you with a type of credit card of up to €50 which you can use to order wine of your choice from taps of red, white or rose wine. The choice is overwhelming, but the owner was very helpful and knowledgeable of the wines as he wanted us to enjoy our first experience of Tuscan wines. There was also an option given to order a sip of wine before committing to a glass. We had a selection of white wines which paired well with the food. The staff were lovely and welcoming which is always a bonus. Well worth a visit here. It was so good we came back the next day.
