He skillfully guided me through the process and didn't feel like he was trying to force a sale or force me into anything I didn't want to buy. This was definitely one of the best experiences in buying a jacket. I needed 3 additional holes added to the belt. My husband and I stopped in to look at the beautiful shoes and leather goods at Leonardo's. While we were shopping, I asked if they could possibly help me add holes to the belt from another store. They could not have been kinder and immediately agreed. He took such care in adding the holes and refused to charge me or accept a tip! My belt looks great and the products in their store are beautiful - but, most of all - their staff was incredibly kind and very knowledgeable about leathergoods. - Eli M1 contributionMUST GO! Nino (owner) was one of the most amazing people ever. His kindness and generosity are truly unmatched. He helped me find the perfect pair of shoes and worked with my needs in the most professional way. This store has been family owned since the early 1900s and their motto hasn’t changed one bit. DO NOT go anywhere else - this is truly an amazing place that will touch your heart. - Ray.crad@gmail.com1 contributionI’m in love with the leather briefcase/messenger bag I purchased from Michelangelo. I have been shopping for one on and off for about a year, and this bag was perfect.
I only purchased this bag today, but came straight to the hotel and gave it a thorough inspection. I am even more impressed now then when I first saw it in the store! The leather quality is top notch (I am an enthusiast not an expert but have tried to do my research), the mechanical pieces are robust and made of brass (my preference), he used an excellent zipper brand (YKK), and the stitching is thick and strong. I think the interior lining is suede and smells of leather.

Laura's expertise of the area is amazing and she sources the very best local wines. We bought a case of wine, olive oil and balsamic. I felt I was getting a quality piece of gold in Florence to take home with me. This is where I will return for my next piece when back in Florence. You reach the Via dei Guicciardini and there, marking the corner of the Piazza Santa Felicita, Sonia and Aldo are waiting for you at La Pelle. Aldo will size you up immediately, and you have options. He knows his family’s work, they’ve been at it for over 40 years. It is a true family business, and the product is worth so much more than they charge. You will leave with the perfect jacket, a great pasta recommendation, and the widest grin you’ve had on your visit. - emm05300Athens, GA7 contributionsWe found this family owned shop on Trip Advisor and after having lunch next door at our new most favorite trattoria at 2, we were buzzed in afterwards at 3 when they reopened.
There is no sign and they are located behind the beautiful doors at #13. You have to look on the brass sign to the right of the doors to know which doorbell to buzz.
NOTE: take the elevator to the top floor-LOTS of stairs, even for us who are semi-fit.

Note there’s a 10% menu surcharge to sit on the rooftop (as opposed to one level below, in the shopping centre).
Go for the views rather than a culinary experience - the food and customer service were fine, but both waitresses seemed very unhappy the whole time (with all customers). It didn’t spoil our visit there. I knew enough to steer clear of the leather market, There is a dizzying array of shops that say leather factory etc. I wasn’t seeing the supple soft lamb skin that I coveted or the styles I prefer. I discovered Davide Cerasi looking through Rick Steves Guidebook. Conveniently located near the Ponte Vecchio, I knew I was in the right place to purchase my dream coat. Davide is Italian, designs all the jackets and supervises the excellent workmanship to produce a superior product that is classic and will make you happy for years to come. On this warm day he took a look at me and offered water right away. Personable and kind he picked out a jacket that fit like a glove, but I prefer something longer. No problem. With his gracious help I chose a black jacket with brown cuffs and collar, which zips from top and bottom. The leather is what you’re looking for, soft and supple. He is personable and fun to talk with. I never felt pressured to buy and I was confident that this truly was the real deal. We ended the sale with a selfie, goodby hugs and kisses and a promise to stop in before I leave Florence. - Joe M3 contributionsWe're so glad we found AquaFlor. They have a breathtakingly gorgeous retail space with a wide array of beautiful scents for sale. Luigi gave us a wonderful tour of the facilities, listening carefully to our preferences, explaining the notes and ingredients, and finding a number of perfumes we love. Their perfumes are original and creative, drawing on environments, memories, and life experiences.
