If you're looking for fresh ingredients or clothes, this is a great market. They have fresh fruit, vegetables, pastas, sauces and more. Come early, it closes by 2

An outdoor market located in the heart of Florence ... a few minutes walk to the Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo. This is mainly a leather merchants market and there are a lot of stalls in this area. Make sure to bargain for the price. The leather products are really good quality (that I found) as Florence is known for its leather. Also; visit the Boar Head fountain and drop a coin from his mouth ...

You can find a wide array of clothing and household goods there at really reasonable prices. Clothing in abundance. Be aware you won't find high fashion designer clothes but you will find an interesting array of really inexpensive clothing - shirts, sweaters, jackets, socks, etc. I was disappointed, however, that the vendors begin packing up around noon, particularly if it is raining. Plan to be there early.

I was at your store on 4-18-24 and bought a leather jacket for $360 euro to be custom made, and I am wondering when it will ship?

I had been shopping for knee high boots for a few months and just happened to find Diva shoes. They had a large selection of styles and sizes. Caterina helped me find two pairs that I love, great quality and comfortable. They were kind enough to ship them to the states for me since I was traveling for another two weeks and couldn't fit them in my luggage. There is a shipping fee but it was worth it to have these great boots.
    Thanks Rony and Caterina!

This is a typical market street, leading to the central market building.
Most of everything here is fake, so keep that in mind while haggling with the stall owners.

The Mercato in Florence is a fantastic experience - the restaurants on the second floor are a great experience. But the markets on the first floor are really the most amazing experience. Each has its uniqueness and should explored fully.

Marco Salumi is one of these markets within the market that definitely is not to be missed. While visiting Florence the past summer we purchased a few cheeses to bring back to the US after being able to taste them. The quality is amazing and the difference from what's available here in NYC area.

Five months later, just before the holidays, we placed an order online with Marco which just arrived. The order arrived within 10 days and each cheese was vacuum packed. Honestly I have not opened any yet but I know that they will all be great. Thank you Francesca for your help with the order, and then making sure the shipment was received and all was good. Excellent food matched only by her excellent customer support.

This isn't exactly a travel destination outdoor market, unless you're already in the neighborhood. They have a few stalls of beautiful produce, fruits, vegetables.
There are a few clothing booths that sell used and new clothes, and a couple of them sell new cashmere sweaters for approx $40 Euros. (some more)
It's a sweet local piazza with some cafes and restaurants around the parameter.
These aren't the correct hours this market is open, but I'm not sure what hours they are open exactly. If you're in the area, check it out. :)
