This is mainly a leather merchants market and there are a lot of stalls in this area. Make sure to bargain for the price. The leather products are really good quality (that I found) as Florence is known for its leather. Be aware you won't find high fashion designer clothes but you will find an interesting array of really inexpensive clothing - shirts, sweaters, jackets, socks, etc. I was disappointed, however, that the vendors begin packing up around noon, particularly if it is raining. - 2ABPOakland, CA13 contributionsI had been shopping for knee high boots for a few months and just happened to find Diva shoes. They had a large selection of styles and sizes. Caterina helped me find two pairs that I love, great quality and comfortable. They were kind enough to ship them to the states for me since I was traveling for another two weeks and couldn't fit them in my luggage. There is a shipping fee but it was worth it to have these great boots.

But the markets on the first floor are really the most amazing experience. Each has its uniqueness and should explored fully.
Marco Salumi is one of these markets within the market that definitely is not to be missed. While visiting Florence the past summer we purchased a few cheeses to bring back to the US after being able to taste them. The quality is amazing and the difference from what's available here in NYC area.
Five months later, just before the holidays, we placed an order online with Marco which just arrived. The order arrived within 10 days and each cheese was vacuum packed. Honestly I have not opened any yet but I know that they will all be great. Thank you Francesca for your help with the order, and then making sure the shipment was received and all was good. They have a few stalls of beautiful produce, fruits, vegetables.
There are a few clothing booths that sell used and new clothes, and a couple of them sell new cashmere sweaters for approx $40 Euros. (some more)
It's a sweet local piazza with some cafes and restaurants around the parameter.
