This private collection of floor tiles is mind blowing.. While touring the private apartments of this partially restored palazzo you will be amazed by the handmade floor tiles that cover nearly every inch of the walls. It’s a version of Sicilian history not otherwise noticed and made us appreciate all the tiles seen later in our trip. But the wildest thing about this museum is that you can stay here! The owners offer several apartments to visitors. We stayed 4 nights very comfortably.

Lots of ancient artefacts from past residents of Sicilia, including some sizeable remnants of temples. The setting is a former monastery. The architecture, including the pools, fountains and live turtles, adds interest.
Security on entry is airport style.

This must be one of the most unique art experiences in Europe. A huge range of art, architecture and objets d'art, from different periods and places. The environment is gorgeous. The atmosphere calm and grand without being imposing. The building is so beautiful And both restaurants are a must for great locally sourced sicilian cuisine.

A wonderful vast apartment which is beautiful and full of historical significance. Run entirely by enthusiastic volunteers and preserved by the money collected from ticket sales this is a must see not in the guidebooks. We were given lots of information by a very helpful volunteer
Wonderful. Put it on your list of things to see.

Quite unexpected. A coffee place cum lunch restaurant in the museum.
Classic Sicilian dishes, well prepared and presented. Friendly helpful staff.
    Definitely good value.
And as a bonus, if sitting surrounded by Sicilian history doesn’t appeal, you can sit on a balcony overlooking the facade of Palermo cathedral.

An excellent art gallery of mainly countryside scenes and portraits by local artists from 20th century, presented in a spacious palazzo.
There was absolutely no one else viewing on our visit.
There is also a bar and cafe with garden outside seating.
Well worth a visit and one does not get overdosed by biblical iconography one sees in all the churches anyway.

Angela's Lab is a Palace of Fine Arts. Her "presepe" are simply spectacular. Masterpieces which are fascinating to look at. She always makes visitors feel welcome and is eager to show you her employees at work. An honest businesswoman she is not going to sell you what she doesn't make as "home-made stuff". As a matter of fact she sold me some wonderful pieces from Caltagirone, advising me to go to that city and buy it there. i had no time to drive up there and bought from Ms. Tripi, inter allia, a lovely Trinachria, a most traditional Sicilian crest. My wife is an interior decorator and it now occupies a noticeable spot in our home. It is indeed a "conversational item". Angela is acquainted with her colleagues all over the Mediterranean so that her work is constantly been updated. In Spain, in particular, she has found nspiration for some of her "presepe"- Every time I visit Palermo I visit her and do not hesitate to encourage everyone to do the same. A pleasurable place, a pleasurable knowledgeable artisan and a wonderful person to talk to. And incidentally, as you go up to her place you may visit the place where Gravina, one of the greatest admirals in the Spanish Navy was born.

When we arrived, there was a gate. And the gatewatcher told us, that the parc is private. There is no artmuseum anymore. We heard "It was cleaned up by the carabinieri ". It's a pity, the original artists did not give anymore information.
