What travelers are saying
- GingerNutzNorthern Ireland, UK112 contributionsWe purchased a combi ticket for the permanent exhibition and also the temporary Leonardo di Vinci exhibition. First thing to say is that the fact that some of the exhibits are unlit (see various reviews below) you are informed of this before buying a ticket and your ticket is sold at a reduced rate as a result. The combi ticket was 12,00€ per person which was great value. The LdV exhibition explores his drawings and displays them alongside multimedia interactive modern interpretations. Very cleverly done with sound and projections. The permanent exhibition is a wonderful range of paintings and sculpture. Would thoroughly recommend particularly during the heat of the day. This would have got a 5-star review if it had it hadn’t been for some of the staff very noisily chatting to each other and/or having their mobile phones on all the time and not on silent!! Certainly spoilt the atmosphere at times. Nice gift shop. There’s also a cafeteria (didn’t try) too.Written October 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- gsm01827 contributionsA few great pieces and some other works of lesser interest. Do your homework and pick this or the modern (1800s on) to suit your taste if time is short.Written November 10, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NickPalermo, Italy71 contributionsI had the chance to visit Palazzo Constantino during the Via dei Tesori event, which is one of the few times this historic site is open to the public. Although it’s an old noble palace that’s now almost completely in ruins, it’s absolutely worth visiting. The ceiling paintings are surprisingly well-preserved and are a highlight, offering a glimpse of the palace's former glory.
You really come here for the historical insights rather than the physical structure itself, as the palace remains unrestored and privately owned, facing budgetary constraints. The guided tours available during the Via dei Tesori are invaluable—they do an excellent job of explaining the rich stories behind the palace.
I recommend visiting if you’re a history enthusiast. If you're not particularly interested in historical sites, this might not be as appealing.Written April 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Interesting and varied work. If you like modern art you will enjoy this.Written July 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - chiaramaquedaAlice Springs, Australia32 contributionsI hate organised tours, so this is the best! A network of small arts and crafts outlets through a large section of the historic centre of Palermo. With a map to show you where the next one is! From ceramics to fabric work, from paintings and drawings through to hand made fashion, this walk through Palermo is a real delight! My only problem now is how to ship stuff home!Written July 13, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SundriedRaisinLeicester, UK22 contributionsAccording to the website, this is an art and music collective whose last visual exhibition was in 2018. There may be music still on Spotify, I didn’t check. Probably worth a look if they ever revive.Written July 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
