Both were very knowledgeable. Coach drivers Angelo & Alfio were very careful drivers making us feel safe & secure, especially when navigating hair pin bends en route to collection points in Taormina! Our group was quite diverse and Salvatore was just great, adjusted the tour to the needs of the group, made some changes to keep people safe… We saw and walked a lot. We received interesting information about Etna and the past activity. - Peter V9 contributionsGreat experience. Very beautiful view of Etna. Very informative. Tommaso was superb- clearly very knowledgeable. He was also very personable and a great driver on challenging roads. A few things that could be improved : the tasting portion felt rushed, and there were zero accommodations made for people with allergies or other intolerances. You just end up missing out. A simple substitution - or just another of the samples that you could tolerate would have been appreciated. It should also be mentioned that you need a decent fitness level for this tour. And finally- 10 degreas cooler than downtown is 10 degrees Celsius cooler- something to remind non-European guests. - Sharon D1 contributionThis trip was definitely one of the highlights of our entire Sicily visit. Rosario picked the six of us up in his perfect van. He was funny and entertaining right from the start. As a past geology major, we knew we had the best person to take us to Mount Etna. He was so knowledgeable about the mountain and we learned to treat it with reverence and respect as Sicilians do. We actually booked him another day to take us to a private winery so we really had a great experience with him. Etna half day, we learned a lot about the volcano and was able to see many things during our adventure. Four wheeling was fun and we had a great guide. It was a very interesting tour through beautiful and captivating volcanic landscape. Finishing with an excellent wine tasting and Sicilian lunch. Salvatore's knowledge and incredible experience gave us the best day!
