I'm coming back in my wonderful Sicily. From the airplane you could appreciate the Volcano, Mount Etna. All the information that you need you could have at this info point.

Great statuary throughout but you need a guide book to understand some of the imagery and significance.

Loved this library and some incredible manuscripts . Definitely worth a tour just to see the building

In the shop you will find mainly the albums about exhibitions which are at the moment in museum. Additionaly somy souvenirs from museum or Sicily. They have nice postcards - if you're still looking for some.

It is the reference library if you are looking for journal and books about volcanology, geophysics and geodynamics. You can find old and recent papers for your bibliographic research. It is inside the Osservatorio Etneo edifice in Piazza Roma.

My first destination in a city I discover is always a tourist office to get a map and information on how to organise trips. In the morning shift, I met nice helpful people who gave the replies to my all questions and they could even help a Japanese girl organise travelling to Napoli by using internet. But. In the afternoon shift I came back to ask additional questions on the bus/train connection to Siracusa. The curly big woman seemed as if she was completely bored and disturbed by questions on the exact venue of the regional busstation or of the luggage storage in Catania and Siracusa. The male old colleague who helped her out repeatedly told me that we are in Catania and they should not know everything. All in all, if you are there and saw them, my recommendation is to leave without opening your mouth as your questions will not be answered but you will be treated as an alien, and who needs such a service?
