Hi, two of us will be arriving in Catania around 10 on Saturday 5 May 2018. We will be joining a group leaving from the airport around 4pm (16:00). What options might be available to us for those 6 hours? We'll each have 1 rolling bag and 1 carry on bag. We will be tired as our flight from London leaves around 6am. But -- is there any way to leave our luggage somewhere and go into town for a little exploring? Or check into an hourly hotel? Or ??? Anything to not have to hang around the airport for 6 hours.

You really wouldn't have six hours by the time you collect your bags, and your flight might be delayed on arrival.
But you could take the Alibus to Catania, store your luggage in Catania (there's no luggage storage at the airport), and then explore the historic centre around the Duomo and via Etnea. The market would be bustling on a Saturday morning.
You might ring Radio Taxi on arrival, and then enjoy the convenience of transport from the airport directly to Atripical for your luggage storage. Then return to the airport via the Alibus or Radio Taxi.
