- Marie H2 contributionsThis class became a family affair. Chef Gabriela brought her son met us in the city center for the food market. They then drove us to their home where we made wonderful pasta, caponata, and tuna. A nice selection of appetizers were presented with Prosecco. We had wine with lunch and cannolis for desert.
The chefs husband took us back to our hotel after our wonderful experience at her warm and welcoming home. I will surely recommend this experience to my friends!

Everything was delicious! And it was great to learn about the Sicilian versions of these dishes. It was such a lovely experience — gave us a great local feel. We learned how to make fish, pasta, pesto, peppers. Highly recommend! Not only did we leave full and happy after eating pasta we made and tiramisu to die for, but the setting was absolutely beautiful. I have to say I loved Chef Maurizio, but the highlight for me was Chef’s sister. An amazing cook in her own right, and though she didn’t speak a word of English, my group had no problem deciphering her playful banter with her brother or her directions for us. Amazing experience.
