What can I say… other than it was just a great day out, well worth every penny, and with a wonderful group to share it with. From the outset, we were picked up from our hotel on time by the lovely Francesco and Samuel, before proceeding to the “meet up” point, a small service station where we enjoyed a quick coffee and a snack. Here we met the rest of those who have booked, together with all the guides/drivers. We were introduced to our very wonderful and charming guide, Giuseppe who was very knowledgeable, sincere and caring. Giuseppe really did make our trip a most memorable and enjoyable day. The rest of the guides - Francesco x 2, Stevie (Wonder…), Sasha, and Samuel all deserve a mention, all very caring, accommodating and polite.
The day trip included a visit to a small cave, the 4th crater and a wonderful forest chalet restaurant for a pit stop and a bite to eat (and of course a coffee and a glass of wine). And then a drive back to our hotel at the end of our tour.
